Arindam did not react to the situation created by two scoundrels against a girl sitting on a nearby table even after Sagarika had requested him for. Then Sagarika herself faced it. He ( Arindam ) remained silent , standing like a statue even when Sagarika was being misbehaved & maltreated by hooligans.. Sagarika looked shocked at this. In the mean time Banty came back there & handled all. Arindam proved himself to be a timid person. It must have created some suspicions in the mind of Sagarika against Arindam.
