The great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the synonyme of soft, soothing, and soulful music ! Professionalism, perfection, and Sophistication in performance was the hallmark of the great Khan Saab ! His style of gayiki was pretty simple, soft, effortless, soothing, and soulful but overbearing and difficult to emulate ! The great Mehdi Hassan Saab had given ghazal gayiki a pedestal, which will be difficult to surpass ! He was just incredible, as an exponent of ghazal gayiki ! Infact, no epithet is sufficient to describe this enormous talent ! It was as if, the 'ROOH'(SPIRIT) of Ghazal Gayiki had gone, with his sad demise ! What a COLOSSAL LOSS it was !

Lekin ghar pey aa pey wahi ghazal gaai lekin baar baar mehdi hassan ka sur aur andaaz gaeiki zehn mein aaney lagi to unhon ney kaha ham naheen gaa saktey ghazal aesi mehdi hassan sirf ghazal gaeik naheen hai .
