v=(-80) , u=(-25) so, 1/f=1/v-1/u 1/f=1/(-80)-1/(-25) 1/f=-1/80+1/25 On simplifying, we get ‘f’=400/11 Now we have to find the power of the lens required to correct the defect So, P=100/f(in CM) P=100/1×11/400 P=11/4=2.75D So convex lens is used to correct the defect of power 2.75D whose nature is converging....

Generally,we take focus in metres only in case of determining power and if we have been asked to find just focus then cm is used commonly. but if u want , u can find in metres also but don't forget to convert all the value in same units when u have to use lens formula

Rod and cone cells are present on retina and transfer the light signals to electrical signals and these electrical signals are interpreted by the brain. But in case of myopia or hypermetropia when image is formed behind or in front of retina then at that place no rod and cone cells are present So there is nothing to transfer the light signals into electrical signals so then no image should be formed But still a blurred image is formed???

Indeed a very good lecture But sir there is one small mistake "When the cilliary muscles contact the eye lens becomes thick and when it relax the eye lens becomes thin" But you said the opposite However thus lecture made everything crystal clear ❤
