When I watched it in September, before the song starts Ti Moune had only just found Daniel in his room at the hotel beauxhomme - he doesn't recognize her as being the one that found him and healed him and basically challenges her to try healing him because the doctors his family have hired couldn't do anything lol so she spends a good chunk of the song healing him in the bg while Erzulie is singing the song in "present day/the real world" to the child that's being told the story It was really only implied that they had sex at the end of the song when I watched it but maybe they changed the way it was staged lol or maybe I totally misinterpreted what was going on

cresildaa nah. The implication was always that they had sex, at least as far back as the original show goes from my memory. Of course it’s never anything explicit (although I saw one version where Daniel and Timoune literally go under the covers and frolick until the end of the song) But given Daniels stance on Timounes “place” in his life, it’s pretty much heavily implied they have sex and that’s why he’s all gung-ho for her. He wants her as a mistress. Not his healer. I’d say the way it’s staged is up for interpretation but I think the intent is 100% there that what is metaphorically occurring here is Timoune and Daniel making “love” under the watch and blessing of the goddess of love herself
