I love this little background romance Vee has goin. Masha is the tarot card kid from Yesterday’s Lie, one of the ones Vee went to camp with, but since Vee has her own identity now, Masha doesnt recognize her. We see them show back up here, now out as nonbinary. Vee blushes when they offer to be her tour guide, and in the credits we see art of them hanging out. Really cute way to reuse the character.

One of the best aspects of the series has been seeing Luz’s journey as a protagonist. From the very beginning she wanted to be a hero just like Azura, but while she had many noble qualities (such as her kindness and bold courageous nature) she still needed to mature and grow as a person. It was a joy to watch her learn from her mistakes and develop into a capable witch, but it was only when she stopped trying to be the hero in her own fantasy world, and focused on helping her Boiling Isles friends and family out of a genuine love and desire to protect them, that she truly became one of the greatest protagonists I’ve ever seen.

After this episode, I took back EVERY negative thing I felt towards Camilla. Not only is she cool with taking care of six kids but she doesn't flinch even slightly when the others use magic around her. I was especially pleased with how welcoming she was towards Luz's relationship with Amity. But what REALLY won me over were all the dream sequences/flashbacks, which revealed that Camilla DID support her daughter's weirdness. She was just emotionally blackmailed into doing "what was best to help her" by other people

You can see shades of that as far back as the principal's office in the first episode, when Camilla plainly said she loved that Luz was creative, but she was taking it too far. I mean we love our girl, but she _released a swarm of live snakes in the school halls._ That's pretty well the point that _something_ has to be done, no matter how supportive a parent is of their child. I have a friend who was very much in Camilla's same position a few years before this show aired, with a neurodivergent son she absolutely adored but who was constantly getting into trouble at school for being disruptive. She was under a massive amount of stress over the situation and pressure from the school, and ultimately had to pull him out and start home schooling him because he just couldn't function in the school environment.

Such a moment, according to many reactors/reviewers proved that Luz was also Neurodivergent. She's able to put so much effort, thought and discipline into the things that make HERSELF happy in ways that would put most "experts and geniuses" to shame. But in spite of all that, she couldn't mesh with the status quo of normal people. It's hard for someone like that to thrive in an environment like that

That being said, if Disney hadn't cut the show short, we never would have gotten _any_ adventures in the Human realm, since the original plan was for the big series finale to occur on the Day of Unity. 5:43 - With that hairstyle, Vee doesn't need to worry about hiding her ears. 9:29 - So, in the US, schools typically let out for Summer Break in early June (in my school it was always the 15th), and this episode ends on Halloween night, so from the first episode to the end of this one it's been between 4 and a half to 5 months. Luz was supposed to be at Camp for three weeks, and wasn't worried about going back home yet by the Season 1 finale when the door was destroyed, so we can assume the first season took place within a two-to-three week period, putting the date around the first or second week of July. Then right after that there was a month until the Day of Unity, so Luz and co. were sent to Earth somewhere around the beginning of August. At this point when Amity says they've "been here for months", a few days before Halloween, they'll have been in the Human Realm for about two and a half months, give or take a week or two. 11:50 - Yeah, if Luz projects any harder they'll have to store her in the A/V Room. 12:53 - So many reactors were immediately suspicious of these two characters, since we've never seen them before and they just came out of nowhere. But no, they literally only exist for this one scene to set up going to the hay ride. 12:25 - Gotta love how Camila is totally on board with sourcing blood. 14:40 - Hunter _is_ a teenager, of course he's going through a Wolf Phase. 16:05 and 20:37 - A lot of fans think Gus is subtly hinting that he knows about Hunter. He did see some things when he did his illusion trick on Belos during the fight in "King's Tide". 16:53 - There was a certain subgroup of fans who were determined for Camila to be an abusive and/or neglectful parent, who _hated_ this dream sequence because they didn't want Camila to have "a redemption arc" or anything to excuse how badly she "abused" Luz. 23:35 - Remember, Vee went to Summer Camp with Masha when she was being Luz, but Masha only knows "Luz" and never met Vee. A lot of fans ship the two of them, given Vee's adorable awkward crushing here. Someone asked Dana Terrace if Vee and Masha were dating, and she replied "Yeah, maybe." 24:54 - Just look at all the episodes we could have had. 27:23 - When the mask goes on, the old Golden Guard comes out. 32:33 - All of their costumes are great, but Amity is just _killing_ it. Also, when Jacob interrupts the play to accuse Gus of being a witch, there's a person on the left side of the screen dressed as Captain Grime from Amphibia. 34:37 - This is the same story we saw in picture form inside Belos's mind. You know, except for Masha's commentary at the end. 43:02 - Vee's reaction here was a meme for _months._ 43:35 hurt, but 45:25 is where it broke us. 44:58 - _"That's_ the Belos you've been fighting this whole time?!" "To be fair, he wasn't always a 10-foot-tall horrifying goo monster." 47:39 - Amity repeats almost line-for-line what Luz had said to her when she asked her out in "Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door".

The paintings in 'Hollow mind', Philip kills Caleb, his older brother, and Lilith, during her journey in the past with Luz, punches Philip in the face, setting him on his plan to exterminate all witch kind, nearly 400 years pass for his plan, recognised Lilith, kept her on a tight leash during her Emperor coven days and revealed his past to Luz, then informed all coven scouts to not hold back in apprehending everyone. And the leak of the CATS information, specifically swapping Eberwolf and Dairus, with Terra and Graye, the scenes where everyone was captured, one person was absent. Lying through his teeth about genocide is "paradice". They still worked with their limitations even after Disney shortened season 3.

It references the end of Amphibia which could only happen if it happened the year Amphibia ended in-universe, which was early 2020. Basically Gravity Falls was in 2012 on this Earth, Amphibia begins 7 years later in 2019 for that Earth and ends about March or April 2020. Than Owl House began at the start of summer 2020 and ends after Halloween 2020 (not counting timeskips into the future).

1. In Any Sport In A Storm, Flapjack suggests the name "Caleb" as Hunter's alias. Belos also screams "CALEB!?" after seeing Flapjack in King's Tide. There might be some other mentions, but those are the only ones I remember. 2. Hunter being a grimwalker was first revealed in Hollow Mind.
