For everyone who wants a HUNK game, you've gotta remember that RE's specialty is in survival horror, and having HUNK as the protagonist will simply make the situation instead a bloodfest. He is too strong for survival horror, unless the one experiencing horror is supposed to be the enemy.

The funny thing is his name was originally just supposed to be HANK. But the Japanese to English translator fat finger/misinterpreted it as HUNK when sending it over to the North American branch. Then the fans, curious about why someone would be named HUNK of all things came up with H.U.N.K (Human Unit Never Killed) because his uncanny ability to be the only survivor in his squad of what some would consider suicide missions.

I think, most likely, it's not a fat finger accident. If "Hank" is written in katakana, it will become ハンク (hanku). Then they probably wrote it back into the alphabet becoming "HUNK", which has the exact same katakana as "Hank" (HUNK is also written as ハンク).

For those new to the Resident Evil franchise, this is HUNK, hes an OG cut character from the earlier games who got brought back by sheer fanbase popularity. HUNK is an Umbrella Operative, ironically nicknamed "Mr. Death" by his co-workers due to him often out-living his allies in even the most hopeless of situations, known for finishing his mission regardless of the odds, and the only member of Alpha team to make it out of Raccoon city alive. And yes, you can play as this RE equivalent of a Doomslayer if you survive the main story :)

For how batshit insane HUNK seems it’s actually pretty down to earth and realistic (in most iterations) hypothetically, if you had spot on aim, advanced tactical prowess, knowledge in the undead and weaknesses, and highly advanced military training. You could absolutely escape a lot of these scenarios no matter how bleak they seem. Take the 4th survivor extra mission for example, with his materials at hand, he has enough, if not more than enough to push through to the escape with the use of his highly advanced tactics and training. HUNK is that hypothetical guy, he is the peak of what could be humanly performed.
