Just bought a brand new 338xpt they had at a shop. Never been used and was ecstatic to see it. I can’t believe they had one they never sold! By far my favorite saw ever.

Nice work! I have a tree motion which is a super low maintenance saddle. The only thing I do is replace the rope bridge every 6 months or so. Would like to see some tree work in you videos soon.

If the bolts in the concrete ever seem lose try adding some speaker wire or something similar into the hole then put the bolt back in. The wire wraps around the bolt making it fit tighter.

Lol had a gf once that was on the phone with me and asked what I was doing....told her I was listening to hard metal relaxing and just concentrating on making a list of priorities.... She couldn't understand how I could relax while all that crazy screaming and loud music was going on.....moral of the story....she was a gf once

It's kindof like the same as listening to classical music, honestly! It helps concentration unlike any other genre

I've just used regular saddle soap...I don't climb as much as you do but ride a lot so I always have a shit ton of saddle soap laying around. I get it the tractor supply brand and it works great. Especially on the synthetic leather and by parts..give it a try. Have you ever thought about doing wildland fire fighting?

Is it common for an arborist to wear the belt part so high? I'm a lineman and we wear ours, or I was taught to at least, wear it about one belt width lower. Pretty much right on our hips.
@Human13377 жыл бұрын
It's subjective, just where you like it personally. As long as it's over the hips, so you can't slide out, anything goes.

Hello Human this is probably a stupid question but I would like to become a arborist but I think I may be to large as I'm fairly largely built being 6'4 tall and being 250+pounds. Can I ask how tall are you
@Human13377 жыл бұрын
I'm 5' 9", usually around 195, though 215 currently. You're not too big at all, just might want to let one of those skinny little rat types take on those long limbwalks on tiny branches =)

I swore I seen u had a spare rebuild kit in earlier vid what's up with 16 strand COREY?
@Human13377 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure in a previous video I mentioned I had one, I was wrong. It came with a spare bridge, but not a whole kit. After the one kernmantle splice I did do, theres absolutely no way I'm doing it 4 times, so I went with the XTC since I've a bunch of extra on hand.

Hey I had a question for you is there a difference between a 029 and a 029 super or even a Ms 290 or are they all the same saw more less thank you and I love your videos man keep it up
@Human13377 жыл бұрын
Not sure on those, never ran an 029, do know I'm not a fan of the 290 though. They had some design changes around that time, so can't say if the 029 is comparable or not. My 270 for instance, is significantly different than a 271.
@danielroller58237 жыл бұрын
Human I appreciate it and I'm glad to see you are doing better
@stihltech2067 жыл бұрын
They are all basically the same with small variations. The 029 super was touted as the best of the bunch due to a slight over bore in the cylinder.

is popping it setting the knots ? then longer pulls cinch it ? i know in the fly fishing world they say popping your knots is a no no..it's better to hold heavy tension for say , 15 seconds. two totally different worlds i know. please excuse my ignorance. thanks Corey.
@Human13377 жыл бұрын
Not really knots, but feeding the rope back into itself, gets all bunched up and whatnot, so it's mainly just bringing the rope back into shape which can be tough.

@Human13377 жыл бұрын
Ropes for leg pads and the bridge were cut by the paramedics (with my full approval), and I noticed some decent wear on the other ropes where they were connected to the bridge rings. Figured since I'm already changing out some, might as well do all.
