As part of the Humanities Lecture Series at Foothill College, in this presentation, Koorosh Ostowari, a Somatic teacher, who, from 2009 to 2019, worked with thousands of incarcerated men and women as a spirituality and communications teacher at a local jail in Marin County, talks about his experience with the inmates and the prison system. He offered a combination of tools for men and women during the weekly classes to support them to heal old wounds, traumas, dysfunctional patterns, and habits that often lead to incarceration. Mr. Ostowari has been officially acknowledged as a “Local leader for change” by the U.S Congress for his work at the Jail.
