Glad to see another KZbinr I follow playing this game! It's great fun and so far has been a great game! Hopefully you like it enough to play a series on it =) Edit: All melee weapons can break cars for scrap, I typically use a sledgehammer, but any weapon works. Getting a cooking station and Rain catcher up early negates most of the water issues (since you can purify without tabs, and rain is clean water)

Glad you are having fun with it! It's really quite a fun game. For shooting, if you put the curser on the zombie's head you can just headshot one after another from a distance, takes a bit of getting used to though. With a shotgun you can fire to the back of a group of zombies and it will hit a bunch of them at the same time. :D

@@wkeil1981 to each their own. Actually has things in the game PZ doesn't offer...traders, enemy AI, traders, rotating camera...things the community has been asking for over a decade, but, to each their own! Hope you give it a try sometime!

Mini series is definitely the way to go. Really enjoyed Sunkenland but would have gotten boring quickly with the same in its current early state. I agree completely about this being a little more arcade focused than Project Zomboid and it's got huge potential. Added this straight to my wishlist and I'll be keeping an eye out for sure

In Project Zomboid you can put a backpack into a backpack, but the encumbrance reduction is only applied once so it's not possible to insert a full container into a similar or smaller container, but you can put them in a bigger one. Exceptions seem to apply to some situations, like car seats can exceed their capacity if it's only one item like a generator or a backpack.

Looks promising so far, and I think HumanitZ will be a welcome alternative for those who previously might have found the background mechanics/steep learning curve of Project Zomboid too daunting to enjoy playing. Speaking from PZ experience, maybe the lack of zombies is due to a slow propagation over the next few days and the Hard zone you started in has a higher spawn rate or density?

Make sure to go all the way around vehicles i.e quarter panels for the gas door to siphon gas. And you'll need a crowbar to get into locked trunks.

Crowbar and other melee weapons let you harvest cars as well, as long as you get a spark you get the stuff. But the sledgehammer is the best one apparently.

when shooting, you need to point at Z - if you point behing, you will have miss (as in you aim into ground). So, aim for head/body.

This is the next GOAT. for early access now the game is already amazing. 3D view with better graphics easier mechanics, have Skill traits, not too realistic like neee to take care of ur char health, the Dev tester & community are VERY responsive they quickly fix ALL the bugs error when someone complaints about it aren't like PZ. It's definitely the next best thing! Been playing for 80hours now & it's really fun and addictive.

To be honest, I can fully see the appeal of a game that isn't and never will be to the depth of Project Zomboid, because that game can get pretty overwhelming at times. Sometimes you just want to chill, but in Project Zomboid, you can't just chill in that game, because even one mistake can lead to the end of the whole run.

my only qualm with project Zomboid was that due to the isometric camera, firearms are notoriously hard to aim properly, especially against single targets, I hope this game doesn't suffer from the same set back
