I didn't watch the whole movie, just this recap. It seems like the Primordial Goo was already a perfect life form, but it lacked anything along the lines of "humanity." Like righteousness, compassion, love, cooperation, etc. All of the people that the Goo had contaminated were lacking in these traits, except for Witt. Once the Goo understood Witt's humanity, it was completed and able to recreate it, and spared them from death. If a lifeform doesn't exhibit these traits, it perishes. If it does have these traits, its life is spared and the Goo replicates its actions. It's almost like a divine instinct of justness, which is what "humanity" is, meaning the Goo ironically had it all along. Very cool.

You should watch it. I watched this review first and just passed it off as something not all too special. Watched the movie when I was bored one day... and I gotta say it actually was a pretty fun watch. I think it does it's genre justice. Made me feel a bit anxious and nervous and tense at times.
@ShaggyTheClown17 Жыл бұрын
Seems like the goo was searching for the right person. If you want to get spiritual about it its more being humble in the face of everything else, humanity itself is flawed beyond repair which is the whole reason why humanity isn't eternal n needs to be repaired at a later date. For those who are capable of repenting and carrying the burdens of life with gladness, taking everything given while also eventually losing everything, to stay on point and end life with that capacity is what is promised to be saved. Faith.

@@gameonln6077 I got the impression the goo kinda hashed a deal with the survivors. The end scenes when they all return imply they all still have the rage, and thus are still infected with the goo. Perhaps the goo is trying to become fully symbiotic or perhaps it's just using a much smarter method of using its hosts to spread before killing them off. edit: the scans passed on everyone, but the main character almost got detected, as if the goo just barely was able to alter itself enough to not be detectable.
@gameonln6077 Жыл бұрын
@@mrtoestie2707 u say still have rage (but no rage was seen in the end).....they seemed normal (unless u watched the whole moive and is different than what the recap shiws) We literally see humanoid figures of the virus in the end (before they leave the area).......this proves that they didn't need human host forever just enough time to copy it Also in the mid part of the vedio the recap says "This parasite wants to be the alpha cell and can replicate any organic matter they infect so with enough time it could replicate a *whole human being*" ......this is when the hero was reading the science journal about the virus As for the scan part (alot of things can be said)....but a lot of moives make it malfunction first time to create drama (do keep in mind malfunction happens alot in real life this is why they tried again) bcz if the virus was there the result wouldn't change. Point is there is no strong prove the virus is still in them
@mrtoestie2707 Жыл бұрын
@@gameonln6077 I did watch the movie. I like these recaps nut tbh this one was kinda off. For the ending at least. You might be able to find the full scenes here in youtube. As for the humanoid goo. I think they sort of adapted a bit more to humans to include their strengths, but still have their own drive to infect living beings and spread. The full ending scenes makes it clear that the survivors are still affected and are actively trying to avoid any sort of detection they came into contact with something. I mean they are going back home and have a full medical team willing to help them. I can see the survivors just not wanting to risk being quarantined or killed. But I think the fact all of the survivors very quickly agree not to let anyone know back on Earth is a clear sign that the infection is manipulating them, as oppose to even just a few of them actually wanting professional medical help and documentation of what they encountered. edit: i'd actually suggest you watch the full movie. I watched this recap first and thought I never would watch the movie cuz it didn't seem very special. But i did watch it and was pleasantly surprised.
