Your AI generated picture grinds my gears... that guns trigger mechanism and magazine is back to front, the operator is holding all wrong. If the Humans can lock on to such a small target at 1mill Km then a larger ship can be locked on to at significantly longer range. This is terrifying to us poor energy weapon users with a ranges up to 10,000 Km.

Not just Chen, Sarah Chen. As soon as I see that and/or the word quantum, I'm out. These repetitive AI "stories" and not stories at all. Somebody who sits at a computer and hits Enter in an AI program is not a writer.

It's a self fuelling problem, the more times Chen is used, the more times AI is going to use it, because, its unable to produce original content.

Because its a common Asian name, and there are like 2.5 billion Asians on the planet… so maybe including a future where they will likely exist creates a believable world for the readers… or maybe ppl like the name chen.
