if you type a more detailed and descriptive prompt, maybe like "round blue ball with 4 stick limbs and a happy face, simple, bfdi" for example, it would help in more accurate generations, especially on dalle2! also i'm quickly realizing the potential weird faces/cursed eldritch monster characters that can be made from these o.O endless nightmares, but also endless possibilities!

I’ve tried generating characters in DALLE-2 once, but I had to describe the characters rather than just saying their names. I got a good looking Firey, but in a very different style. It’s funny how dalle mini, the less powerful one can generate Bfdi from just the word Bfdi while dalle 2 has no idea what it is.

To clear something up a bit: DALL·E mini doesn't actually have anything to do with DALL·E 2-they sort of do the same thing (using AI to generate images from text prompts), but they were made by different groups of people and use different methods. Aside from the stuff on the DALL·E 2 website, nothing in this video was made by that program. A bit more recently, DALL·E mini rebranded as craiyon, specifically to decrease confusion about this. So, to summarize, DALL·E 2≠DALL·E mini=craiyon. It would be even interesting to see what the real DALL·E 2 could come up with, though, considering that its quality is consistantly leagues above that of craiyon… Although I really have no idea about whether OSC-related images and keywords would have been included in its dataset at all in the first place…

I've seen some program that's similar to this! I forgot what it's called, I think it's something like "This object does not exist"? But it was made by ChibiMango and it specifically makes AI generated object characters! They actually look a lot like actual object show characters too!

This is really cool! I'm surprised how it can get a good idea of what these characters should look like with just a few words of prompt. I got access to DALLE-2 a couple months ago, so I tried putting in some prompts from this video, but I don't think DALLE-2 got any BFDI-related content in its training because none of the images were related to the cartoon (for example, Battle for Dream Island returned an abstract artwork of a ethereal battle going on in island). Still though, the quality was amazing. Wondering how long it will be till these AIs nail down the finer details of an image, like limb count and facial structures. Such an exciting field!
