Never saw your post about this on Reddit, almost had me worried. Thanks as ever for the review!
@Kinglink7 ай бұрын
Mostly because I forgot to do it. I'm overly cautious when I should post it, as I once got almost no one to see it (post blocked by a really good bundle), and then I forget. :) It's up there now. Glad you found your way here though.

@@KinglinkJust wanted to say thanks for posting these every month. Discovered one of your videos a few months ago looking for a review of a particular title (don't even remember which one anymore), and I'm back every month now to watch your takes on the bundle.

Not for me but thanks for confirming the pause for me this month. Last month you convinced me to unpause at the last minute even without a $4 off

It's what I do. Glad to hear I helped you both months!

This was a good month. Some of these titles are worth a play-through, like Life is Strange: True Colors, Beacon Pines and There is No Light.
@zangelo1007 ай бұрын
very interested in life is strange, beacon pines, and destroy all humans. but i swear the currently ongoing humble bundles (controller'd chaos and exceptional indie allies) are sooo tempting. anyways another great video, kinglink!
@Kinglink7 ай бұрын
If money isn't tight, no reason you can't get more than one. But yeah, it'd be hard to choose just one. I think I'd probably go for the choice, due to preferring narrative stories, but controll'd Chaos is really close to making me pick it up as well.

this month's bundle is fantastic! i've been wanting oaken, beacon pines, and children of silentown for a while. I'm not a huge fan of the life is strange series but I'm excited to play that too

Another Beacon Pines fan! I'm thrilled it was in this choice, because I've really wanted to play it again.

Sounds like maybe you've played There Is No Light before this? If so, or to anyone else who has, how far in do you need to play before unlocking another weapon? This was one that I definitely felt like maybe I was too hard on but it just didn't impress me enough. Also, I'd disagree with your statement that if you liked how lore is told in Dark Souls then you'd like There Is No Light. Dark Souls was usually very subtle and I never felt it got in the way. There Is No Light felt like they wanted to make sure you knew the game HAD lore. But I'm someone who will talk to every person in a RPG so maybe that's my own fault... Great review though! Definitely had some different opinions this month.
@Kinglink7 ай бұрын
I mostly talked to other people, and honestly I broke my rule and looked up a little more info. It seems like there's four big bosses in There is no light, and you earned one for each of them you reached. Though each area also has a regular boss. The big thing people seem to say is the combat picks up after a certain point (they didn't say how far in it is) so I figured I'd give it the benefit of the doubt, and besides. I actually did enjoy it because I'm a button masher with these games so an attack focus combat system kind of excites me.

@@Kinglink Thanks for the info! And that actually makes a lot more sense. Maybe that's why it just wasn't clicking with me.

Might pick this up with a coupon for oaken and beacon pines. Life is strange might be ok, but the others just aren't for me

Beacon Pines is a treasure. I already own the three top games here and I frankly don't care about the rest, so this month is an easy skip.
@nour29647 ай бұрын
About Scorn and body horror. How bad is it? Is it like the footage you showed or does it go further?
@Kinglink7 ай бұрын
From what you say, it definitely goes further. There's videos on KZbin of what happens next in the cart scene after I stop, but to talk about it vaguely, you use a buzzsaw which ends up scrape the back of the guy's body as it breaks him free, and then will make him do things, and when you look at him, he's pretty messed up I don't think it's as scary as Junji Ito's work (honestly I probably could play through it, I just don't have a desire to due to subject matter). But I'd suggest watch a couple videos of the worst moments if you're really curious but I know that will be spoilerfic as well.

@@KinglinkI just watched a video with the most gruesome scenes in the game and I feel scarred lol Yeah, definitely not playing this one anymore. Thanks for your help ❤

LiS is a great game, but I already own it. The others don't appeal to me, so it's time to skip!

Life is Strange: True Colors is a great game, loved playing it on my steam deck. Not interested in the other games so I'll skip a month.
@TheOrian347 ай бұрын
2 Wishlist items, no skip, despite some games that are on the border. Not too bad, far from the best. Oaken, Beacon pines especially, then scorn and there is no light might be more fun than expected.
