Happy new year, wow you're quite fast with the video 😃 picked this up for roguebook and midnight sun. Was wondering, can you do a video about humble games you revisited/completed outside of the 1 year mark? So those in 2016 for example

Happy New Year! Hope you enjoy the games. Let me know what you think about them if you happen to get around to playing them. That's kind of what the individual review of games are for. I usually pick from old Humble's and then do a review for them. Sometimes I do games that aren't from a Humble bundle, but usually they are. I'm not sure that I could create a video talking about games I completed from Humble over the years only because I wouldn't remember what I thought about a game other than really surface level stuff lol Is there any particular game or game you'd like me to cover? I can certainly add them to my list and tackle them at some time.

Great month. Really loving midnight suns. Bought the legendary version because I like it so much. I think the dog game is just ok. I've done like four runs in it and would like to try to get to the cabin. New bundle soon.

I've been playing a lot of Midnight Suns as well. Not nearly as much as you but I've been liking it a lot. Haven't went back to Red Lantern yet but I plan to soon because I think it would be a quick game to review. And yeah! Crossing my fingers for good stuff haha

Thanks for the review. It helps a lot. Honestly the game that interests me the most is Aragami 2 because it reminds me of Tenchu on the PS1.

thank you for your video. i actually found hell pie the best of the bunch. we didn't get a solid platforming game for a while now and hell pie ticked all the boxes. the art was fun and the story silly fun, as mature and immature as it may be. certianly not to every one taste but it was fun to play

No problem! Glad you could enjoy the game! You aren't wrong, there definitely hasn't been any real platforming games in bundles as of late. To be honest, it seems like that genre as a whole hasn't been as popular lately for developers. But maybe that's just because I don't play those kinds of games so much so I might be out of the loop.

This month was surprisingly good? No multiplayer stinker, and even though some games likely won't be great, all seem playable enough to have no skip! Hopefully the year keeps up with months like that. 2 Wishlist(OTXO and Roguebook), no skip! and funnily enough, 1 ignored (midnight suns). I had midnight suns ignored because ugh bland franchise game, but it seems like it has unexpectedly nice gameplay? Count me in! I believe you pronounced OTXO correctly? Like Otcho. Some video corruption artifacts happened it seems.

Nice! Glad it turned out well for you. And let me know if you still think that Midnight Suns isn't that great after you play it. I had fun with it, but I also do like Marvel so...kinda biased. And yeah, I tried to look up the pronunciation of Otxo beforehand but I still wasn't sure. What do you mean by "video corruption" though? Was there a problem with my video for you?

Another great month in my opinion, the only game that I'm not interested much in, is The Red Lantern. I didn't know about Twin Mirror and Otxo but those two games seem quite good, especially Otxo because Twin Mirror probably wouldn't be a game for me. Marvel Midnights Suns is only interesting to me for it's gameplay as honestly I do not care a single bit for the Marvel super heroes. As for Hell Pie... I believe it would be totally my kind of game, I tend to like colorful platformers for whatever reason. Overall in my opinion a great start for the year! Good job on the video!

Haha, I get that. The Red Lantern definitely is more of a narrative than game in my opinion. It's dressed up to make you think it has substantial gameplay, but I'd be surprised to find if it actual does whenever I do finish it. I don't know that playing Midnight Suns would be worth your time if you didn't care for Marvel heroes. That sounds torturous to put yourself through (especially if you're planning to a do a 100% review of it lol). And I wouldn't say I didn't like Hell Pie because of it being a colorful platformer. Actually, I think the one area in the beach level was visually appealing. I just couldn't stand the humor of it and this cute-meets-gross style they'd have going on in the game. It reminded me a lot of a Fallout Boy music video (The Carpal Tunnel of Love) - I can't really stand that style where it mixes intense violence and cutesy-ness and then throws it together into a comical thing. I dunno, can't really explain it, but I guess it's just a weird thinking of mine. Thanks for the comment, Frog!

@@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews Well I do not care about them but I do not hate them either, it's just that if it was another license it probably would be better to me. I honestly can tolerate a fair bit of things I think, but like everyone some things are too much for me, but it's fine Marvel is far from being enough to stop me from playing a game. But for example to give something I despise in a game: Mazes. A game with many mazes will give me headache 100% of the time and it will not be pleasant. I understand, I didn't think much about the humor of the game, all I was seeing was a 3D platformer and I like those.

The one that looks most interesting to me is probably Twin Mirror, and then maybe OTXO, the others not so much, some are even off putting like the Hell Pie and Marvel Midnight Suns (to a lesser degree but still, I never understood the phenomena of superheroes, it looks just childish).

I guess I can understand that. Superheroes weren't really my thing for the longest time. Other than Spiderman since I grew up on the 90s show. But somewhere along the line I got swept up in the Marvel craze and I tend to like most of the stuff they put out. I dunno, maybe I have simple tastes lol

This is probably the most disappointing month, both the marvel cash grab thing and two point just aren't worth the time. For me it looks like there are maybe 2 games worth playing, 2.5 if you count the black and white Monaco.

I never played Monaco before but that actually looks like a pretty fun game. Although, I'd say that it's probably not a good comparison to Otxo since Monaco has different roles to play as and, from the sounds of it, more of an objective other than kill everything on screen. Why do you consider the Marvel game a cash grab? Usually, I'd think of a game as a cash grab if it was a low effort product thrown out with a popular license, but I don't see that as being the case here. Unless...maybe there's something I'm not seeing just with my first hour?

@@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews Marvel games (and, more broadly, Marvel-related media as of late) just feels to me that way by default. They're like the Vought corporation from The Boys, a soulless, hyper-cynical business entity exploiting superhero fantasy for profit. (Of course there are exceptions, but the gut feeling tells me this ain't it. Maybe I'm wrong, still not decided if I'm skipping this month.)

@@reireireireireireireireirei That makes sense. I mean, it definitely is no secret that Disney is trying to churn out anything and everything related to Marvel (and Star Wars) because it makes money. I think it's shown that the quality in what they've put out as far as movies go has definitely not done nearly as well. And the hype for it isn't as high post-Endgame. As far as video games are concerned, I hope we get some decent Marvel titles. Whether or not this one really is...well, I still have the rest of the game to determine that. I know the Guardians of Galaxy game was well-received and that was given away for free on Epic (I think it might still be as of this writing?). And the Spiderman games have done well, too. But I haven't played any of them so I can't really say from experience if they were or not.
