Sirf hindu nhi ya ham sab k buzargo ka architectural style tha. Rashandan and bramda. It was a way of natural cooling and ventilation.

Rawalpindi city was mostly a Hindu sikh populated area during British and Sikh rule.. these type of Big havelis and architecture style was mainly adapted by Hindu Sikhs .. Muslims were mostly in village areas or even in city they had small houses.. I don't think you have much knowledge about history of Rawalpindi

@GeorgeGray-sh2tc my parents come from Dalwal which is a small village in chakwal district in punjab. It was a Muslim majority village. It has the same architecture just no fancy tiles etc. Everything is made from bricks and mud but roashandan, high roofs and bramda were common. One can say this is the architectural styles that the people used for cope with the heat in the region.

میری ماں کا تعلق بھی جالندھر سے تھا۔ میرے دادا نے 1945 میں دسوہہ ہوشیار ہور میں اپنے گاؤں میں عالیشان مکان تعمیر کروایا تھا۔ 1947 میں سب کچھ چھوڑ کر پاکستان آ گئے۔ خاندان کے کافی لوگوں کو سکھوں نے قتل کردیا۔ ہمارے رشتے کے ایک چچا جن کی عمر اس وقت صرف 6 ماہ تھی وہ وہی رہ گئے تھے۔ ایک ہندو فیملی نے اسے اپنا بیٹا بنا کر پالا۔ اسے انہوں نے ہندو بنا دیا۔ اس کی شادی بھی کر دی۔ ایک انڈین یو ٹیوبر نے ان کے بارے میں ویڈیو ڈالی تو ہمیں یہ باتیں پتہ چلیں۔ ہم نے ان سے رابطہ کیا تو انہوں نے اپنے بیوی بچوں اور ہندو مذہب پر ہونے کی وجہ سے پاکستان آنے سے انکار کر دیا۔ اس پارٹیشن سے بہت دردناک حقائق جڑے ہوئے ہیں۔

Dear Sir First of all very well made, nice video. Congratulations 💐💐 & my sincere appreciations to your efforts and feelings. Mohan Nivas means Mohan's House( Mohan is a common Hindu name) Swagath means Welcome. Perhaps Mohan ji was welcoming anyone who visits his house. He must have built this house with lot of efforts, love, careful thinking and ofcourse lot of money.He wanted his progeny to stay and enjoy and prosper in this house. Alas that was not to be and was cut short by events overtaking the situation. Mohan ji had only two options to stay back , 1. Convert to Islam and protect his children and womenfolk and property. 2. Leave everything and migrate to safer place for Hindus ie India. He chose the second option as most did to firmly stay back in their ancestral religion and not give it up. All chaos, mayhem created as Muslims wanted a seperate country for themselves. Humanity got killed at the altar of religion. Religion first and humanity next became the order of the day when it should have been the other way. Both sides suffered but who demanded a seperate country ?Who started the riots first ?? We cannot run away from facts but learn to face it
