I am from Sri Lanka. I must say, the singer is amazing. She has given a new twist to the original song. Especially the ‘alap’ parts in the ‘anthara’ (the second part). The rhythm, the timing, the mood, the feeling, everything is taken to perfection. I have listened to this song innumerable times. But haven’t got tired of it. Her style of singing keeps your soul captured into it. Great job. However, many commentators rightfully have praised the singer and the guitarist, but haven’t said anything about the bass guitar player. He also is brilliant. He is the Ninja of the song. When he is there, no one notices him. When he is absent, it will be so obvious. Imagine this song without him. It would be completely a different song without him. The entire group is great; the most minimalist as well as the most effective band I have ever seen. Bravo guys. You know what? When I see this girl (The singer), I feel like she intimidates me through her singing, just the same way how Seetha intimidated me thousands of years ago. I abducted your Seetha, but cannot abduct this girl because I do not need another war guys (like Ram Ravan war). If I happened to abduct this singer in any case, I definitely will take the guitarist as well.
