It’s a fine technique except there is zero chance of simply pushing on the tricep. Especially against a much larger opponent. There are better options against bigger players imo. Even locking your arms around someone with large shoulders can be tough when they are non compliant

If you have your arm extended to post while in turtle position, yes your arm is easier to push to the side. This is why it's commonly taught to avoid posting for extended periods of time. Post, change your position, unpost. If you need the ground for balance, use your elbows when possible, not your extended arms. Ergo, yes a smaller person can absolutely do this (and has done this) with training and reps.

For an instructor to teach their focus is to "humiliate" the other person...wow. Absolute opposite of the way of a martial artist. Also the double standard is insane. Imagine a large instructor saying their goal is to "humiliate their smaller partner/opponent "...they would be shamed, ridiculed, and their technique overshadowed by their size. Bjj is losing its way.

I see lots of folks asking how you get the initial head and shoulder hold. This is a common, point-scoring move in freestyle wrestling. You can get in position w head snaps, takedowns, etc. My 12yo wrestles a lot, and is also a yellow belt. I’ve seen him snap adults into this position in bjj. A lot of tournaments don’t allow Anaconda’s at his age, but in sparring a gator roll to an Anaconda is a real thing. I’m skeptical on rolling much bigger opponents. You can regularly see in wrestling where someone locks in a hold for a Russian/gator roll and the bottom person stops it. If you start in this position doing positional sparring, a common wrestling exercise, I’d say half the time the roll fails, and the top player uses it to get a back position or it reverts back to neutral position.

Why humiliate bigger opponents? Are you trying to deal with being smaller by being a bully. There is nothing inherently wrong with being big or small.all can learn to be good at bjj with consistency and hard work. Maybe it would be more constructive to evaluate why you think humiliating your opponent is a good part of bjj culture. It might mean you have to take a painful look into your character or lack of it.
