Humiliation & Frustration

Overnighted at the track in my friend's camper. We're low budget... The track is better for my car counter clockwise ('89 BMW 325is), but I love turns 7 & 8 in the clockwise direction. That drop into the North Bowl is possibly my favorite section of track anywhere.

I'm pretty sure that the 914 has a 3.0 or 3.2 liter flat six from a 911 in it. I was on Toyo RA-1s.

The 914 driver was my instructor at a track day at ORP (and PIR) a couple of years after this. Don't know how much had been done to the car at this point but it's now been fully race-prepped by Rothsports Racing.

I'm driving an E30 BMW with 190 hp on 225/45-15 Toyo RA-1s weighing in at about 3000 lbs with passenger. I get passed by a 300 hp Subaru with big tires, a 500 hp Vette with bigger tires, and a 225 hp E30 that weighs about 400 lbs less than my car (all three cars driven by very good drivers to boot). What are you trying to tell me? I suck? Well, that's a bit harsh isn't it?

wait, so you dont believe there is replacement for displacement because cars with more hp and or weigh less than you passed you? wtf is that shit?
