HUMMER H3: Replacing Shift Boot Cover

Here is a detailed video on how to replace your own shift boot cover. Ordered my replacement on ebay for $10.

Very helpful video!...especially since the boot I ordered came with no instructions. I tried to get the three seams to be in the right place but that turned out to be very difficult. The contour of the bottom of the boot didn't match the seam positioning. I probably could have trimmed it, but no one will notice that anyway. Just came out a bit twisted.

I just finished making my own yesterday. I took the boot of and cut it down one of the seams, then used that to make a template onto one of my old military uniforms. It turned out great!

Just finished installing my new boot cover. Thanks for the tutorial!!!! One note: The new boot will be a bit tight during the last step (6:00). Might need to stretch it out a little.

The bottom ring should have been 2pieces. The outer ring with the clips and the another one to fold up in the the leather , leather now is much different to than the cheap thin ones.
