hello team and good morning over there. I have a wish. That bloody part of steel in position just there where my backside is ending. And i am a tall men. I will not die because of that, but maybe there is a legal change to make driving more comfortable. I dont care about other passenger. Ma question: " is there any possibility to move or mayby also it exist a seat kit to arrange the sitting position of the driver to move the seat al little backward. And if it only 3 inches, thats enough. The metall part connect the middle tunnel with the "B-Säule". (Iam German sorry). Can i remove that part and fit it simply some inches to the rear? Its welded i Know. But its my profession. Of couse to make it equal the other side i have to do it too. Or is that prohibited for the military version. I say many HUMMER H1 where its quite removed all. They can move the fullsize seat in any position....I hope my english is understanding enough. Once more. I am looking for a possibility to move the driver seat three inch to the back. I would very pleased of a reply. In advance .....thank you ...best greetings from Thomas Pohl , germany, hamburg bye.

Yes, there are many who have removed that short cross bar behind the driver's seat.

that is going to be a lot of work to fix..the entire support ring is attached to the roof backwards!

tomelroy ...yeah we realize it was not on correct. it was a dry fit to see what we were dealing with. we never done this before and we will correct the issue when we have to time to. thanks for your imput

540isilver. not sure on the exact weight but if I had to guess....500 to 600lbs. the center section with the gear is the heaviest.

Looks cool, but I think the soft top will stay on our Project HMMWV Battlewagon. more practical, IMHO.
