Steve, just going over a winter refresher course. Found I had missed just a little bit of info from last year. That M which I mentioned was shown because I had selected only a 35ft depth for the lake and not on auto depth. {pixel count concentration} Good to see you know that George Bishop also.

Steve, you aced another one. Fantastic explanation on all facets of the plus-minus buttons. Did you ever come across the letter M on the screen when you had lower depth range set. Thanks again for the time and effort in putting these very educational videos together.

Thanks again for the kind words Brian. I don’t recall seeing a M. I would be curious to see a picture of that M you’re referring to in a screenshot.

@@stevechiassonfishing5876 That would be "M" for manual as in manual range selected. It is down in the lower right corner by the bottom range # selected.

I just bought the helix Mega 3 chirp with gps & side imaging, and an Ultrex trolling motor with DI, will the pain designation be the same on my unit? I won't get it in the water until spring now. Thanks in advance.

New Sub here trying to learn more about my Helix 15 .How do you get all the depth lines and depth numbers?
@stevechiassonfishing58767 ай бұрын
Hit menu menu, , first make sure under set up tab your user mode is changed to custom then go to sonar tab, make sure depth lines are “on” as you scroll through sonar headings.

Steve I got a question about way points, I hit something on my Helix 7 and lost my waypoints and can’t find them any help would be really appreciated
@stevechiassonfishing58763 жыл бұрын
Hi Malcolm, it depends on what you hit. If you go under the nav tab and press waypoints, routes, and tracks to see if there’s waypoints in there. To delete all your waypoints you would have had to hit waypoints, routes, and tracks then pick “select all and” then delete to get rid of them. If you didn’t do that, they should still be there.
@malcolmzoll76133 жыл бұрын
@@stevechiassonfishing5876 I don’t believe I hit delete all of them, I had 39 waypoints then they was gone, so I marked another waypoint after I lost the 39 and the new waypoint showed #40 so I did another one and it showed 41 it started at 40 not one like I thought it would?
@stevechiassonfishing58763 жыл бұрын
You could always try restoring defaults and that will bring you back to factory settings.
@malcolmzoll76133 жыл бұрын
@@stevechiassonfishing5876 I tried that reset to default didn’t help , well thanks for your help anyway, I guess I lost them .
@stevechiassonfishing58763 жыл бұрын
@@malcolmzoll7613, did you go into the waypoints, routes, and tracks, as I mentioned earlier, to see if the waypoints are in there? They will show up there if they are still on unit. If it says “empty group” then they are definitely gone.

Please do something on depth settings when I set lower range just say to 40 ft in 100 ft of water my viewing area on screen is very small thanks
@stevechiassonfishing58762 жыл бұрын
I set my ranges to focus in on zones I want to see. When I am ice fishing, I set my lower range slightly deeper than the actual depth. My upper range is adjusted to show amount of bottom I am interested in to enlarge image. If I wanted to see 80-100’ of water I set upper range to 80’, lower to about 105’. If I want to see entire water column I only change lower range similar to above.

With your motor deployed, scroll through options to see if you can find spot to turn IPilot controls on. Make sure you are in custom mode, not angler mode. Unfortunately I do not have access to my unit right now to be more specific. Hit menu menu to get to your top bar options.
