Just bought the ethernet box in addition to a Helix 9 MSI and MDI G4N Already had a helix 8 MDI G4N can i see my side imaging on it even if it's not MSI being networked with my 9 MSI

Yes, the MDI G4N should show side imaging if it is networked with a side imaging graph with a side imaging transducer. Always contact Humminbird support and they can give you detailed info based on your full set up. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!

An other quick question Had to relocate the external GPS puck and I don't see it on my network Prior ti networking everything the boat was straight like an arrow and now it goes around in circle. I'm trying to re pair it to the motor but nothing does it ! Even pulling the fuse to reset it Anything thar could help me please

@@jacqueslefebvre3004 if by relocate you mean physically move it, I would move it to another location to see if you have the same problem. If you changed the connection I would confirm the settings are correct.

Hey Money Bass , it’s Kenny from Calif , I just took my Triton 188-SF ski/Bass out storage, I’ve been working on it for the past week, getting it in order , now that we got some rain and lake levels are up. I have a HELIX 12 CHIRP GPS G3N and a HELIX 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+GPS G3N with a Minn KOTA Ultrex i-Pilot BT . About a year ago I had my boat serviced, and they installed the above . I really didn’t have the chance to really check out the equipment other the to turn it on and make sure I had all available updates. IM at the point where I’m checking all sonar equipment all powered , but only see both Helix 12 on the MEGA I S . So i search high and low for the hub , stern/Bow and in-between , couldn’t find it . I don’t think there was a hub connection. The only other place I need to check is under the Dashboard, I just have to figure out how to do it After doing some research and watching your videos I believe they just connected the two Helix together with the connection Bricks and called it good, not sure if they knew how to network the units . Do you think it’s worth trying to takeoff the Dashboard. The thing is I ordered a Mega Live , and lithium battery… I’m stuck my Brother 🤦🏽 any suggestions? Thank you in Advance!

Okay so I have two Helix 7 GN4 and the Ulterra DI/SI and I have the 5 port ethernet box. How do I get it all to talk so I can control my trolling motor from the stern as well as from the front of the boat?

I'm not familiar with the Ulterra trolling motor. Once you have everything connected correctly on the network and the settings are correct the equipment should all communicate. If you run into issues contact hummingbird support so they can give you info based on all of the equipment you are running.

Hello Money,I'm having trouble with my networking between the ulterra trolling motor, and my helix 9 si mega Humminbird unit and have a Helix 7 Ði unit on the bow. The problem is while trolling with the boat motor the left side imaging is dark when the trolling motor is not on .But when i start the ulterra trolling motor the left side shows, but if I turn off the trolling motor, the left side imaging goes dark again ,it want work if the trolling motor is not on (working). Do that have anything to do with networking? Have a hexi 7 di on the bow.Thanks for any help you can give me.

From what you explained it sounds to be a wiring/interference issue. Watch the livestream on Tuesday at 8pm EST and write your issue in the chat. There are several guys that can give you additional information that may have had the same issue.

Great Training tutorial! Q.... Want to read Lakemaster Mapping in Networked system? How to setup source/Mapping from (Lakemaster card) installed in console Helix10G2N to bow Helix 9 G4N? Or is a LM card required for both? On the system with 5 port switch is a Terrova with iPilot Link.

Helix units do not share mapping. You will need a separate card for each. Does that answer your question?

@@MoneyBass Yes.....What about uploaded waypoints? Will each upload be required on each Helix unit? Waypoints created from Google Earth, uploaded .gpx files to each unit? Or will the waypoints network from one unit to another?

@@edwardkurtz7033 the waypoints are shared across the network. When you upload the to one unit they will show up on all units on the network. If you turn the unit off with the waypoints on it they will disappear on all units.

Not that I recall. It may have happened when the unit would turn and pinch the cable.

Thanks in advance, had a chance to talk to the dealer and he recommends that i get a thru hull transducer installed? Do they actually drill a hole thru the hull? Is it glued to the bottom underneath the boat or what? Do i really need one, if so why? Really dont want them to drill a hole thru the hull. Again thanks in advance

From my understanding a thru hull transducer does require a hole to be drilled in the boat. I would confirm the process with the dealer. I do not have a thru hull transducer. The benefit that I have heard from having one is it allows you to get a more accurate reading of water depth while on plane. The lakes I fish have accurate mapping on the electronics so I'm not to concerned about water depth when on plane. Let me know if you find out it doesn't require a hole in the boat. Yes, I can put Mega Live on both screens at the front of the boat at the same time and adjust the settings separately to allow different perspectives of the same data from the Mega Live transducer.

I have a HELIX 8 4GN. I have the directional puck (HS GPS) and it is showing connected in the accessory test screen. Latest firmware. I am in custom mode from angler mode so I can see more settings. I have no other networked equipment. Here is my problem….. my unit is using the internal GPS. MENU TWICE and the network tab is not there so I can change to use the external gps. How do I get the network tab to appear? I had it working last year

Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. That sounds like it could be firmware/software issue. I haven't heard of anyone experiencing that issue. I would definitely contact Humminbird support tomorrow. I'm sure they are aware of it and probably have a quick fix. Let me know how they resolve it. Thanks for supporting the channel.

Here is the solution when you don’t have networked units: Select an Installed GPS Receiver The GPS Receiver Override menu is available when more than one GPS receiver is installed and detected by the control head. If GPS Receiver Override is set to Auto, the control head will select a GPS receiver automatically. To manually select a GPS receiver, follow the instructions in this section. NOTE: If the control head is connected to an Ethernet network, this menu is not available. In this situation, use the Network Source Setup dialog box to select a GPS source. For more information, download the Ethernet manual from our Web site at humminbird.com. 1. Main Menu (Custom User Mode): Press the MENU key twice. Select the Nav tab. 2. Select GPS Receiver Override. 3. Select a GPS installation location.

Hey , I bought my boat with units linked. Units are currently not recongnizing each other. Wiring seems good. Is there any troubleshooting you can recommend I can do through the units themselves to have them join network together? Thanks for any ideas you may have in advance!
