What is your highest lofted wedge or club in your bag?

Thank you. I appreciate your honest, realistic, everyday golfer reviews. I don’t need reviews from pro golfers who probably will play well with any clubs under any circumstances.

The hinge technique (hands in front) will deloft your club and actually decrease the amount of bounce that you use. This 70 is performing as a 60 in this video.

Thank you. As a veteran swing coach this is the very 1st observation I had & is a constant throughout this vid. Also the strong grip could chime in as another factor for less spin. The swings this young man made while staying connected to his core were the best but imho, he needs to keep that triangle connected throughout the swing. Also, de-lofting the club with such exaggerated shaft lean encourages more of a chance of taking unwanted pieces of real estate. That said, I always love to surf 'U of Tube' to see the diverse 'how-to's' that prevail on this great media platform. Cheers.

I just ordered a bundle pack of a 58° and 70° for $99 I've used my buddy's 70° and IT IS AMAZING !!!!! If you have sand problems, GET THIS NOW, no more bunker issues..... at all. I really suck at bunker shots, I'm at least 2-4 shots to get out..... NO LONGER. You put the ball in the middle of your stance and hit 1" behind the ball and you're golden. I can't praise this club enough, it is absolutely fantastic👍👍

@richmandau63072 жыл бұрын
I hit a 60- now, but the local course has all raised greens which would get a use of a 70.
@ParanormalResponse2 жыл бұрын
I just ordered it and hope it helps my short game because from 40 yards to pin I suck. No matter what I hit or lightly I try I rocket shit over the greens. I practice a ton and I just can't shake how hard it is for me to control those yardage situations. So if I can get more height than distance, I will just keep cranking it. Because I do not care about how I am judged playing. I just want to land the ball where it counts.

I liked your overall opinion of the Hummingbird H7, DP. I invite you to look at the reply I gave below to @sofiasirias, & see how you can obtain much more desirable results from that same club should you decide to make a few adjustments. I do teach my students proper shaft lean but not as exaggerated as your current technique. Hands ahead of the face of the club? Def but you should be able to see the face of your club right next to ( behind the back of ) your right hand. The only other thing I would suggest is to keep your upper / inner arms 'glued' to the sides of your core, so that your chest faces away from your target, then faces the target with your follow through, your right arm straightening towards your target through impact. BTW, I did give your vid a 'like' & I did subscribe. Keep up the good effort with your swing and your vids.

I bought a 82 degree back in '07. Luved it in the backyard and at the park, but even practice course (much less actual course) always screwed me. I Bladed every time if I didn't dig a ball grave only for the ball to be in the same spot; wrist hurt after that one.

@DimpledBalls2 жыл бұрын
Right on, remember to keep your weight forward, your hands in front of the ball, and put the ball either in front of your stance (for high loft), or in the back of your stance (for the bump and run shot)
@jonny555ive2 жыл бұрын
Hit an inch behind the ball, you'll love EVERY shot no matter where you hit from.

Is blading it a problem for armatures or not with a 70 degree?
@DimpledBalls2 жыл бұрын
blading it can be a problem for some when outside of 50 yards, or trying to swing to hard or add too much loft but if you keep your weight on the front foot and the bounce down on the ground, it will be impossible to blade it

what you think max distance was ?
@DimpledBalls2 жыл бұрын
if i were to fully swing, id say max distance is about 35-45 degrees. i felt lethal with it in my hands within 20 yards thought. You could less control when you fully swing (at least thats how it is for me). i took it out of my bag about a month ago and there are some scenarios where i wish i had it. I might have to add it back to my bag tbh

40 to 50 yds TOPS.

I don't put it in my game bag, but when I'm at the range, I have the 72 degree Bombtech Grenade wedge (which I got for free back in '16 when I got the Bombtech 52/56/60 wedge combo. I do keep a '95 MacGregor Grass-N-Sand Series 64 FW in my bag though (the MacGregor Grass-N-Sand Series were my prior wedge set).
@DimpledBalls2 жыл бұрын
those are some seriously high lofted clubs, but good ones for sure. The Bombtechs are very popular and you can get those very high in the air and get some good backspin on the ball!

If you have issues with hitting out of thick rough, try using a 10 finger grip. I find it reduces the club from twisting.
@DimpledBalls2 жыл бұрын
thats a very good tip for sure! this club has less of this problem than my kirkland lob wedge just due to its size but yes the 10 finger or baseball grip works well out of the thick rough

You aren't supposed to lean and put your hands in front, just supposed to swing normally and let the club do the work
@jonny555ive2 жыл бұрын
100% accurate, no lean needed. The only thing that you have to change using this club is where you put the ball in your stance. That's it nothing else, well of course swing speed but that's a gimme.
