I absolutely love this show. Mokko has alot of knowledge about the land and landscape around him. And I love the fact that he doesn't mind teaching Matthew everything that he knows. Also his little grand son knows alot from his grandpa taking the time to teach him. This show is so educational. It doesn't seem nothing he doesn't know about plants. I wished that I knew alot about the plants around me.

Mathew tell Mokko that the papaya leaves are very healthy. A lot of patients suffering from cancer boil the leaves to build their palette levels. It's very bitter but it is very powerful in the treatment of cancer. They sell the tea on Amazon for a lot of money. Just thought I would share this information. As Mokko would say "Your never too old to learn" Stay blessed, great video as always!

It is a genuine food forest, managed with chop and drop mulching. Mokko may never have heard of Permaculture, but in fact it is people like this that helped inspire it. I do wish it wasn't so dominated by banana and plantain though... haha. Banana is possibly my least favourite fruit, although I can handle very green ones cooked in stews - another trick I'm grateful to have learnt from Jamaican cuisine.

So many memories come up. When my dad remigrated back to his native Surinam, he wrote me letters saying that hummingbirds just flew right through his small house to get at the woods behind his new yard ... and the tall papaya tree, my grandfather had one just like it on his little yard in Paramaribo, bats loved to nibble them at nightfall, I remember seeying them. These videos bring a lot of good memories ... thanks for sharing! Jah Bless you all! From Holland.

I hear Mokko say (around 14:37) he hopes that one day the hog problem get solved. Natural Rasta don't like walls and barriers, but maybe the only long term solution is to build an anti hog wire fence. It's a low fence, (as hogs can only jump so high) but a good part of the fence has to be built Below ground to prevent them from digging underneath to get past it. This may also prevent any future conflicts with the hog owners
