What is don't see is how you account for the fees? If you set your spread you must know what is the minimum to cover the fee costs.

this strategy does NOT prevent severe loss in the advent of a a large adverse trend. If the price of the altcoin / crypto keeps sinking against the USD, YOU WILL KEEP BUYING MORE OF THE CRYPTO as it goes down to maintain the split. Unless your chosen split is 100% USD 0% crypto. Does that work i wonder/ This strategy was designed for stock trading where you begin and end each day with shares. IE 100% cash zero% stock.

That is just your assumption, in a large adverse trend you still get both sides (ask and bid) filled frequently, the key thing is play with order quantities which is not address on this video
