Omg, this is beautiful, and not enough people have viewed this. Tears

I have often thought that ocean mammals intelligence is so much superior to that of humans and that indeed, they can and do communicate a native knowing of galactical sounds; complex life forms, movements existing in the universe. I totally respect and love them.

Sometimes I hate our own species so much I want to find alien intelligence instead. But then I remember how beautiful Earth is too! ❤

These guys (whales) ARE essentially aliens to us. They inhabit a world we cannot even venture to, and communicate in ways we are only just beginning to understand. They ARE aliens on earth. We just can't understand them yet. I am pretty sure they are smarter than we are... No, not pretty sure. Completely certain...

Guilherme Topper Are you sure? I’m asking, because as far as I know, Mr. Nestor is engaged in spermwhale vocalization research. We exchanged a couple of emails last year. The whales in the video are humpbacks.

Guilherme Topper Thanks for the advice anyway. ) Sadly, knowing James Nestor doesn’t help much, because he participates in lots of projects and answers me once a month.

Elaborate measuring of shannon entropy is old news for bottlenose dolphins and humpback whale songs with mixed results (dolphins may have a language, but it has to be far simpler than ours, and those male-only songs are whistled tunes, not ballads). The truth is that those other social vocalisations (other than their feeding calls) always looked far more promising than those earlier cases. It's about this obvious test was put to a large such dataset. Good luck, and I would love to hear more of this particular study.

so theyre trying to understand whales... how sad will it be when they find a whale that is slowly drowning and sending out its last calls. As it floats down, drowning, do its family/pod listen from above? One can only imagine, but one can be sure these beings know loss and family.

Why why do most humans insist on thinking that they, as humans, are the only other creatures anywhere that could possibly understand compassion or possess "intelligence". It's just so silly. Yes, we have thumbs but it's done a lot of harm just as it's done good. I mean Look at our planet, look at what we humans are doing to the place where we live. It makes me so very sad. I'm sorry, I just become very upset when people have to justify other life forms having sentience. It's ingrained in our culture for some reason that other living things don't matter. You are on the fringe if you feel bad when you kill an Ant, or pull up a "weed" to make your garden. We are so very lost as a species, I wish that something could make people understand that everything around us is alive, maybe the same way we are. And maybe even more than we are ...

To be honest, I would tell them to stay away because humans are dangerous, believe me. Aliens would be shot on sight by the government or they would be tortured and taken an advantage of.
