It's a little Sad to watch .. I was born and raised in the UK and was always told how important it was to be proud to be Pakistani, Bangladeshi or Asian. We were reminded we hold something far superior, our faith and identity. It helped us not to feel an inferiority complex and feeling lost regarding our identity. We had many distractions in the west, be it clubbing and being a public nuisance to the early hours of the morning, alcohol, Drugs, adultery and even earning more wealth through unethical sources, all very common in the UK, yet we were reminded by our parents that this is not our way or not fit as a Pakistani to Indulge in these acts. We now see Pakistanis, Indians and Bangladeshis desperate to be something they are not so called 'Westernized' Infact now there's more choice 'Modern', 'Binary, non Binary' 'Secular' 'feminist' etc.. all rubbish terms most non Asian and British people do not value or want to associate themselves with. Some of my colleagues and friends have have migrated to South Europe, the Middle East or Australia/new zealand where people are a little more reserved or Conservative. Some of us, NOT ALL British Pakistanis, indians and Bangladeshi found our way, but unfortunately ALOT of Pakistanis from Pakistan lost there way and are trying desperately to be something they are clearly not!
