Farhan is much better as an antagonist. Technically speaking -- from the point of dramatic ethos -- he is rather laid back in roles as protagonist. His bland, contemplative expression and controlled, calculated body kinesthetics is really most well suited to a cool, suave, scheming mind. Getting up indolently, picking up the jug of cold water and pouring it over his wife's head sends out a significantly more powerful message of his pent up fury than his shouting or abusive behaviour could have done. Magnificent!

My only problem is with this comment is using the word " bland " for Farhan's expressions. They are contemplative and controlled yes but they are not "bland" cases in point Arsal of Suno Chanda and Hamza of Prem Gali. He knows when to express openly and when not to. He has a thoughtful and intelligent demeanor in general the cool, suave and tricky kind is his own natural Aura. Yeah I can agree that Farhan naturally in real life is quite an unreadable person. He doesn't give too much away through his expressions in real life. But when it comes to acting He knows how to play around with his expressions. He absolutely nailed almost every character he has got since playing Udaari.

I know Zulekha is angry but the way she is praising Shahmir is kinda annoying now. She herself is power hungry, and the only reason she wanted to marry Shahmir was because he was the gaddi-nashin pir. Also, the sad truth is if Shahzaib hadn't married her, she would have been humiliated by the society around her, so Shahzaib has done the exact thing she is praising Shahmir for. It's just that Zulekha doesn't know the things that we know as an audience, so I am questioning her character's support for Shahmeer, who she had literally never spoken to, except that one time "aap woh bachhi 2 ponyia banati thi" and her running away all shy. Like what's her motivation for loving a man she has never had a proper conversation with - I think she too was initially just in love with the title but then slowly she is developing a deep respect for Shahmeer because of his actions.

Most recent example holds her chin again and pours water on her is very aggressive and some what physical abuse. He knows she doesn't like him but he loves her right? But what he did isn't love instead he should be understanding and rather lenient. Zulekha behaving that way is absolutely justified only justification for Shahzaib is that he's a grey character so he has anger issues and a violent streak but that doesn't mean he should act like that with his wife even though pouring water down someone isn't a big deal for him but its humiliating for someone who's his wife and this will just build more hate for him so I don't agree.
