I’m stocking up on feeders for some ribble fishing this year. Probably be fishing well after the recent rain.

Levels have been yo-yoing with the recent rain but it's still low compared to the average. Fingers crossed 🤞

I fished Charity Farm 8-10 or so years ago, I found the fish welfare on the large lake a lot to be desired. In fact, my last trip there, they were draining the lake & I was told they had lost a lot of the fish from it. I went to another local water (just up the road) and bagged up, so never been back to Charity Farm. Great video & review again, love your videos, especially as I also fish a lot of these waters. Nice to see someone else’s perspective on waters I fish. 👍🏻👍🏻🎣

Good video. The ugly stick are fantastic rods. I've had carp to over 20lb tope to 23lb but also great bite detection for smaller fish. Keep the videos coming.👍🏻.

I've not been to Charity Farm before but my mate used to fish it regularly. He stopped going a few years ago as it had "gone down hill". Looks like not much has changed. It has definitely saved me from a visit in the near future.

Yes there are definitely a list of fisheries I’d rather visit !

Just happened to be browsing wen this vid caught my attention. This is my local wich I fish every week, my second home. I fished the next peg to you on Saturday and battered them. Them top end pegs usually produce the decent fish if you know the correct method. Ground baits a no no unless u want to catch the small uns. I prefer to go for the carp,bream and the decent size f1s. The fish here battle like he'll and u gota be ready for em shooting under them trees on the island. I fish 2. Metres away from the island with a 20s bomb, nowt else.. hard 4/6m pellets, nowt fancy. Feeding 4s every 5mins, stop feeding and you'll not catch em.you have to constantly be at it with the catty. This place is a brilliant under rated venue coz some anglers don't know how to fish it right.keep it simple and you should bag up.never fancied the south bank pegs tho.

Catching what I would call ‘pike bait.’ Where is your dad? I use a map pin to drill hole in wafter through the end first so wafting vertical instead of horizontal and had better results

Late to the party but I was shocked to see so many fish-fingers coming out of charity. Last time I fished there, the majority of the carp I caught were between 7lb and 10lb with a couple going up to 12-14.

It used to be really good mate ! A bit of an update but I think he has netted it now so it may be alright !

@@WestysAngling the 'top' pond used to be my favourite - great mix of species and a big old tree to fish under. Then came...the stages... all of those bloody stages. I'm feeling nostalgic now. Same for Heskin Hall as well, great places that 'updated' in all the wrong ways. Or rather, went in directions I wasn't keen on - everyone's taste varies.

Have a look at the "Guru Underwater" Vid's on the Tube. It certainly opens ones eyes as to how Method feeders Actually behave!! Great Underwater footage on real venues!! (not fish tanks)

Thanks for the vid mate, great watch. Found your vid because i was looking for some advice about the fishery, im planning on going with my mate tomorrow. I use to fish charity a lot about 10-12 years ago but ive not been back since. What lake would you recommend to chuck a feeder about and catch plenty of fish? We're not after massive carp or anything, just want to get out and put a bend in the rod
@WestysAngling Жыл бұрын
Id still fish their specimen lake (doughnut lake), you should catch a good few carp if they aren’t spawning. Fish either the far left corner peg near the reeds or the peg in front of the two small lakes about 1ft out from the side really tight in, there is an overflow pipe, the carp like that area 👌🏻🎣 hope that helps ! I haven’t fished it in a while so let me know how you get on !

Those small carp need netting out to give the bigger fish a chance to grow on. Put the small fish in another pool and feed them, they'll be the bigger stock for the future.
