@lenny1083 жыл бұрын
@@raisaapriliani2717 Right, diamonds are more widely available than ever before. But why are we trained to think diamonds are rare? De Beers maintained a monopolistic hold over the diamond market for several decades, controlling 75-85% of the diamond rough supply. They carefully released only enough rough diamonds to satisfy then-current demand, while continually adjusting the degree of rough diamond availability. Of course, this made prices escalate and reinforced the perception of diamond’s rarity. De Beers actually mined considerably more rough diamonds than they sold. They maintained a large warehouse of uncut diamonds in London. As a result, they weren’t allowed to do business in the United States and a few other countries.

For their sake I hope it's true but I highly doubt they are diamonds, hidden just under the dirt like that and in such large numbers.

If these are diamonds they are essentially unsellable on the international market.. The diamonds are considered illegal, not only because they are mined illegally, but because they are unmarked thus making them indistinguishable from blood diamonds. I feel so bad for most of these people because even if they are diamonds.. This isn't going to save them at all.. It will just be a pretty rock in some drawer.

I'm no geology expert, but is it really possible to dig up diamonds that shallow? Shouldn't it be way deeper where you can find them?
@Hhhh22222-w3 жыл бұрын
If it was the government would already know this and didn't need to send teams to confirm, also you can actually find diamonds closer to the surfaces there has been many instances where people found diamond on the surface

It’s very very possible that this is an alluvial diamond field .... the Diamond companies normally buy claims on areas like these, fence them of and sit on them to control supply ... this one must have slipped their surveys somehow.... !!!
