Due to historic reasons, Hungarian vehicles of the WW2 era were never in the spotlight, always in the shadow of tanks produced by other nations, like the iconic German Panzer. To make the situation even more complicated, Hungary never shied away from using foreign designs. At the same time, though, the Hungarian defense industry was nothing short of impressive, even compared to other Axis states, which allowed the country to produce at least several interesting military vehicles.

Hungary still have a few variants for the existing ingame tanks, and some missing ones. The full list could be: Toldi I (had the same gun we have on Csaba), Toldi II with side armour, Toldi III (a bit differend armour shape, different turret), Toldi TD (Marder copy), Toldi with Buzogány rockets (only 1 photo exist about it), Nimród (AA vehicle, maybe a TD version with the rocket-like ammo). We already have all the Turan variants, but they could have a version without side armour (or it could be an upgrade like track links on other tanks). The original Zrínyi I didnt had the rocket launchers, this version could be added too. The ultimate WWII tank could be the 44M Tas, which had 2 variants (on paper), one with the same gun as Turán III and Zrínyi I, and a variant with 80 mm gun (modofied hungarian AA gun). Unfortunatelly the prototype of Tas wasnt finished, USA bombed the factory with the half-finished tank. They also had the Straussler V4 tank.

The Nimrod is technicaly already in the game as the Landsverk L-62, which is in the Swedish tech tree, so i don´t see why they couldn´t just copy and paste it.

I love the Hungarian tech tree so far! I'm up to the ZSU-23-4 now, researching the T-72M1, and I even managed to have some fun with the BTR-80A once I spaded it. Combined with spading the Leopard 40/70 and M109G, the Italian tech tree has been really fun to play again. I appreciate every new vehicle we get, and I look forward to growing my collection even more. I'd love to see more Hungarian vehicles like the Toldi I (20mm anti-tank gun, same as the Csaba), Toldi II (slightly improved, could be a premium), and Toldi III (40mm, improved armor), and definitely the Nimrod I (SPAA, similar to L-62 ANTI). Even more HPA vehicles would be fun to throw in, like the T-55 and 2S3, or even a T-34-85 and PT-76. Also can't wait until we eventually get a Leopard 2A7HU, their most modern vehicle. Really hope an air tree is coming someday too, because I'd love to try out some of the more unique ones like the MiG-17PF. Maybe eventually a JAS 39?

i agree with you, as for Cold War era stuff, we also developed the PSZH D944 FUG (FUG - Felderítő Úszó Gépkocsi, it means amphibious reconnaissance vehicle) it was basically a Cold War successor of Csaba, armed with a 14.5 mm machine gun and it can also carry anti tank missiles

A single 14.5mm would be very low-tier, perhaps even lower than the BTR-152 because it wouldn't have the elevation necessary for being SPAA. Add the missiles, and even Malyutkas would be mid-tier around 6.7. I guess it could be added there, like the Zachlam Tager.

Q:You guys consider to add other T72 variants to different nations? For example hungary does have a modified T72 called CURRUS. Hungarian ERA package,Thermal sights,and neutral steer. A lot of people made suggestions about the tank.

@Warthunder Let me nitpick on the Leopard 2A4. The hungarian army didn't adopted it for general service (it received only 12), rather as training vehicles, because the army will adopt the 2A7 variant instead.

more precisely, the A7+HU variant.... which is the best of the L2A7 series with the L55A1 cannon. Many of the systems that were built in were already designed for the A8... (night vision, thermal imaging, reinforced upper armor, remote-controlled (also suitable for AA tasks) machine gun on top, trophyAPS armor, advanced IT system, backup generator) as far as I know, the A4s will be sent back to the German factory and upgraded to the base A7 version (only L55 gun, without tropjyAPS), as the number of tanks has proven to be low. The A7+HUs were ordered even before the situation in Ukraine, and thus the number of units ordered is already small after the Russian aggression. The KMW gave such a deadline for further Leopards that now the Hungarian army is looking in other directions, Rheinmetall's KF51 was also discussed (but it is still under development, but with the expansion of the Hungarian Rheinmetall factory, they can even be produced in Hungary)

Correction: there's actually no Hungarian premiums available at the early ranks of the Italian ground tech tree. Gaijin's management loves so much their fomo tactics that they locked all 3 hungarian premiums behind the Battle Pass and 2022's summer event, and you can't even buy them on the Marketplace. @@whatdothlife4660 I didn't say I wanted them for free, I said they are not available anymore. Gaijin needs to make money to keep going, but even there they seem to take the worst ways to do so. BP seasons could easily be always available to be bought, so one can either use the Marketplace to get one specific vehicle or just buy the entire season and grind it and his own pace. This way all seasons could always turn a profit, as new players would be able to buy even older ones at their own accord. Instead we get the usual period of time were you need to buy and grind the season like a madman, otherwise you'll miss it. To me it just feels like a massive waste in every conceivable way, aside from trying to drive Marketplace prices as high as possible.

A few corrections. The Csaba and Turán II WAS mass produced. Nearly 140 Csaba and near 200 Turán IIs were built. And the BTR-80 was not used until the 1990s. Also War Thunder should add the missing Hungarian vehicles. like 44M Tas, the Toldi I and III, and other listed by @victortruong6789 below.

I haven't played with Hungarian vehicles very much, but of those, the Turan II is my favorite so far. I've had a lot of fun with that tank and even in an uptier, I've had some really good matches with it.

Well we Hungarians were better in the agricultural sector than in the arms sector, altough it's worth two mention the Hungarian People's Army did have BMP-1s, T-55s, T-34s, even IS-2s also we also made our own APC as well the D-994 PSzH which was even exported, also the there are some sources claiming that the Rába Magyar Vagon- és Gépgyár did made the schematic of a new BTR-80 like APC/IFV called PSzH-2, there were actually 2 design variants, one with a BMP-1 turret and one with a BMP-3 turret. This could be an interesting premium or event vehicle in my oppinion.

In the Hungarian tech tree it should be added also the T-55AM2. Hungarian Army had many T-55AM2 Kladivo from Czechoslovakia and were based in Retság and would be amazing if in WT there will be a T-55AM2.

now can we have the WAR armor kit on the Ariete fixed and the Ariete estimates seem kind of wrong especially comapred to something like the Leclerc S1 wich has the same exact dimensions but a heavy autoloader, the bigger engine and a bigger turret, even if they were made in the same years(so surely the materials are really similar) and the leclerc weighs just 700kg more than the Ariete the Leclerc has double the armor, it seems that you based the armor statistics to fit a certain Glass cannon type of tank but now that the Ariete doesn't have it's really good ammo it's just bad and left there to rot, hopefully you fix the tank with the other AMV prototipes the pt2 and pt3, still don't get how can Italy be treated so badly.

Bro, Poland, Spain and Yugoslavia could be much better than China. I know a bit about poland aircraft and i count around 40 aircraft just in the ww2 era wirhout mentioning the Spitfires, then there is the Lim 1 Lim 2 Lim 5 and Lim 6, and more. About Spain, another 50 aircraft, including modified airlines as bombers but not counting copypaste such as the Phantom or the Starfighter

I love the addition of Hungary, but I'd like to see Italy receive more to fill their tanks since there's SO MUCH MORE TO ADD, a lot has been already proposed but it's been YEARS since the devs even took a look at the forums Also please, just add a semblance of armor to th Ariete, it's supposed to have the same armor protection as a Leopard 2A4 or A5, everyone and their mother knows that, the Ariete AMV is a completely useless addition as well that doesn't even exist, so far the prototypes for the C2 Ariete is all we have and it's 60% different from the normal C1, NOT JUST AN ENGINE UPGRADE (and it'll have APS, as seen by tests)

im happy but also sad and upset about the hungarian line in italy TT 1st its just a filler for italy and the 2 nation barely had any connection 2nd hungary only was added to italy for the leopard 2 and lynx, thats why there are loads of vehicles used by hungary missing from TT (but i dont wanna see more soviet stuff in western nations, it ruin SB even more) 3rd the hun subtree misses loads of vehicles, mainly the light tanks like Straussler v-3 and v-5, the toldi series, TT miss the hungarian "panther" the 44M Tas and soviet made t-55, 2s3, strela-10, pt-76, bmp-1 and brdm-2 with atgm and AA guns (but again i dont wanna see more soviet stuff in western TTs)

Jesus the basement guy is going to suffucate on the exhaust. Anyway I think the US bomber tree ends way too soon. I think it should be extended with the F-117. It is a earlier aircraft then some other requests, and it would also be good testbed for stealth that wouldn't be as overpovered as say the B-2 because the F-117 could only carry two big bombs.

Apart from t72m1 all Soviet vehicles added for Hungary are a pain to play, give Hungary the panthers tigers t-34-85 t54 and t55 all fo which they used instead of 2s1 and btr80 which are bad vehicles compared to what I mentioned earlier.
