Hungarian 'To Be' - Learn Hungarian with Oliver!

Hey guys! Hope you're having a great day! In today's video I will be introducing the use of the verb 'to be' or 'lenni' in Hungarian. We will also be creating some simple but real sentences!

Great video! I was just watching it out of curiosity as a Hungarian to see how hard it would be to learn it if it wasn't my first language. LOL... I'd like to mention one thing. 'I am happy' would sound better in Hungarian as 'boldog vagyok', because 'vidám vagyok' sounds a bit more like 'I'm cheerful' and it's applied more for describing personality, rather than mood.

I will use the verb, because it makes no sense not to use it - and there should be a pronoun for she, and I think there is one with the letter N at the end, and I’ve seen it used in some videos, so it’s almost the same, but it has an extra N!

It means "you (formal)" lmao Also, what is the point of learning a language... if you're going to insist on not speaking it correctly? What ns, the logically correct versions are the truly correct versions of a language, so they must be modified a bit to be made perfect, duh - and ‘formal’ ns is beyond wrong and must be drøpped, ppl cannot misuse superiority terms that only reflect me THE superior being, all ppl are an avrg citizen made to obey the avrg citizen’s laws and rules and must be addressed the same way, it’s beyond ėfd to misuse superiority pronouns, and ön sounds more like she, anyway, and it’s beyond wrøng not to use a different pronoun for she, which is NOT the same thing as he, pfff!

It has nada to do with adding an S to he speaks, since he speaks is the logically correct form, and all verbs should have a different ending for each pronoun, anyway - not using an S when saying he speaks is logically incorrect, therefore it is incorrect, and in Hungarian, not using a different pronoun for she and misusing the pronoun that SHOULD be used for she to address some random citizen in special ways is beyond wrøng and logically incorrect, so it is incorrect - no language is truly perfect, so they must be modified a bit to be made perfect, and it makes perfect sense that I the logical being use the logically correct versions in all languages I am learning or using etc and all should do the same!

And it is also beyond wrøng not to use the verb to be where it should be used, so van should always be used when saying that something etc is something etc - it’s incorrect to say ‘my name x’ instead of ‘my name IS x’ and, that’s how a 3 year old would say it, pfff, it is shocking that speakers of Hungarian cannot realise how wrøng it is, and just because x created some wrøng rule when x modified the language, doesn’t mean ppl should be following that wrøng rule when it’s clearly wrøng, so all should be using van when saying that x is y or whatever, and all should use ön for she, as it should be, and only te or ti or tu or du or jij etc can be used to address one hüm’n in Hungarian and other languages like German / Dutch etc!

Ön and önök are the formal versions of te and ti. Of course, ön being the singular and önök being the plural.

@@RichieLarpa It’s not worthy of a KZbin video. It’s not rocket science to assume (and thus is) that their conjugation is underpinned by the other personal pronouns.

Superiority pronouns aren’t meant for ppl, and cannot be misused to refer to the 2nd person singular or plural, so only te must be used, and ti if it’s two or more ppl - but ön should be used for she instead, because there must be a different pronoun for she, and önök must be used for they when it’s only non-masculine beings, and they sound like 3rd person pronouns, anyway, as they start with ö!

They are here = Itt vannak. There are some tall people in the room = Van néhány magas ember a szobában. Do you have a mobile phone? = Van mobil telefonod?

They are for there is like Turkish var. There is apple: Elma var(Tr.), Alma van(Hu.). There are apples: Elmalar varlar/Elmalar var(Tr.), Almák vannak(Hu.). (Ural-Altaic connection)
