This deserves a lot more views that it gets. So much effort put into this, so many details, really cool cinematic views. Thank you for the effort.

Your track guide for Monza helped me out hugely as it was my first ever ACC race and I got 6th out of grid of 20. So I am hoping this one helps me out in the same way. Thanks for making these videos

Fantastic video 👍🏻👏 one of the most informative I've seen. Only got into sim racing a year ago, so still very much a learner but videos like these are invaluable. My times were in the 1:48s and now at 1:45.8 A long way to go but definitely improving. Thank you. 👍🏻🇬🇧

You can use the lamppost on the left into t8 as a braking reference, other than that great video and great series.

I think I still don't quite get track limits. You often say 'keep two wheels on the red and white'. I looked it up and all I could find was a statement from driver61 that in ACC you are out when you have 4 tires across the white line. Is that true? I mean I can see you going over the line at 13:49 so clearly that can't be right. Apparently the statement from Driver61 is based on a post by acrl.
@Yorkie0652 жыл бұрын
So the official FIA ruling that people often refer to is that the white lines are the track limits, and going all 4 wheels over them is exceeding track limits. However there are exceptions and overruling, and I've tried to call most of those out in the key area's where you can gain time by using more curbing, or in corners where it is easy to invalidate your lap. Every track is different and even corners on a track are different. Best thing to do is to follow the guides and to go with in-game ruling, rather than the official FIA ruling, otherwise you'll be putting yourself at a disadvantage and losing lap time of you stick to just the white lines.

@@Yorkie065 Thanks a lot! By the way, maximizing track usages has been a lot of fun, pushing to have only a sliver of tire within the limit and going very fast! I've already worked down from 2:10 to 1:51 on the Hungaroring thanks to your vid!
@faramund98652 жыл бұрын
@@Yorkie065 So I also wondered. Is there any other way besides your time going red to tell you have exceeded track limits? Basically, would it be possible to get a notification every time you exceed the track limits, rather than just the first time in every lap?
@Yorkie0652 жыл бұрын
@@faramund9865 unfortunately not really no. Other than doing a race where you will get a warning for each time you exceed track limits, even on the same lap. If you get 3 of those then you will get a stop and go 30 second penalty, so probably best to test in practice sessions.

Just be careful with this track guide. I've done the same lap time as this video just now after 80 laps, but the guys in my league run 1:41s, so I'm the laughing stock with my 1:45 time. This is a track guide, yes, but nail it like he does it and you wont even show up in the top 50 of your league.
@Yorkie065 Жыл бұрын
But that's the exact purpose of the guide and the lap, to demonstrate what I talk about in the breakdown detail. All the track guides I do, bar the last few episodes, are done in default weather with fast track state, and minimal setup changes from the default aggressive. The guides are aimed at new comers through to moderate skill level to help learn a track and it's detail, so they can improve. Not to demonstrate the fastest hot lap possible.

Sorry I'm sure this info is great but I can't watch it. The voice is hurting my brain. Not quite sure what it is about the tone but I can only focus on the delivery. of. each. word. with. a. slight. pause. between. each. word. Sounds like an AI but less smooth.
