Hungary blocking EU military aid to Armenia, RFE/RL reports

📍 Armenia’s ruling party defeated a bill put forward by the opposition meant to prevent the handover of four abandoned border villages to Azerbaijan.
📍 Hungary is blocking the European Union from disbursing nearly $11 million in military aid to Armenia, RFE/RL’s Armenian service reported.

European Union should really have more flexible policies when in their ranks exists autocratic country Hungary. Decisions of the entire Union can not depend on dictators! Otherwise what kind of democratic union it is?!

Well, let's say the Hungarians are triggered when they hear the word 'bozgor' or when it is remarked that they migrated into Europe only about 1000 years ago. They have a complicated relationship with Turkey -- e.g. they get *very triggered* when someone mentions the battle of Mohács [pronounced *mo-HATCH*] where they lost their state to the Ottomans in 1526 (in fact, in Hungarian people say "more was lost at Mohács" to mean "it could have been worse"). They have an equally complicated relationship with the Russians (look up "málenkij robot", for example). The current state of things in Hungarian politics is disgusting to most people in Europe, but there is hope that this state isn't permanent (e.g. Orbán and his politics are despised by most residents of the capital Budapest) so many are hoping that this is just a passing phase. On the bright side, that country has produced some remarkably talented people over the centuries.

Hungsry says Azerbaijam should also grt aid. Because laundering Russian gas and oil isnt profitsble? Because Armenias budget is the same size as theirs?
