We need people like you so we can reach poor Filipino families, one at a time. I've been helping and reaching my fellow Filipinos for more than a decade, since 2006, but without recording it on film. I just decided to film the activities we do in 2015 to spread awareness. This time guys: I need your help. I need your helping hands to give joy to Filipino families, one at a time. How it works: Your contribution goes straight to the individual/family we reach/help. After we reached/helped 1 individual/family: We then move on to help another. Our objective is to reach 1 economically poor individual/family, one at a time. Important notes: 1. I personally don't receive/get/take/pocket any amount of financial contributions from you guys. Your contributions go straight to the families we reach and to other expenses. 2. I do not publish on youtube the stories of the families we reach w/o a signed release agreement and parental/guardian consent. The release agreement gives me a permission to publish their stories on youtube. 3. Business, personal and GoFundMe fundraiser accounts: All the funds, contributions, sources of income and other monetary sources that go into my accounts are being reported to the taxman. My bank also reports to the taxman every year, by the end of the year, FYI. There's a Certified Public Accountant who does the accounting and auditing of my accounts. The Certified Public Accountant reports to the taxman. 4. You don't need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution to give help to people in the Philippines. Reaching and giving help to people in the Philippines is not illegal. There's no law that states, that you need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution first, before you are able to give help to people legally. 5. GoFundMe checks the fundraiser account from time to time. They sometimes ask for verification and validation. The reason why I upload films/videos about poverty in the Philippines is to spread social awareness. To combat economic inequality, social injustice, oppression, repression, abuse and exploitation: 1st: We have to be aware. 2nd: We should pay attention. 3rd: We are ought to do something about it. We as Filipinos and citizens of this planet should not turn a blind eye, not to play deaf and not to pretend mute. We as human beings have a responsibility to give care and to show compassion to others. We as citizens have a great responsibility to safeguard our ball of genuine democracy. We as citizens have a responsibility to fight tyranny and corruption. A documentary film/video like this one is very important, because it opens our eyes to the unjust societal reality. How could we turn a blind eye on social injustice and huge economic inequality? Wake up, my fellow citizens! My personal quotations posted on flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/lifeofmarknowhereman/albums My personal quotations posted on facebook: facebook.com/groups/822419882227466/media/albums Again my friends, thank you very much. And they drink a lot of sodas at a young age, where young mothers gives their 4 year old sips of sugary drinks everyday. Eating rice alone or as a main course is equally bad for their health because rice alone is pure sugar.

Soda pops should be outlawed but it's all a part of the scam promoted by The Big Industry and the government's on planet Earth to destroy people's teeth and health for profits! Is anyone teaching wisdom any longer😢
@rainbowkitten89905 ай бұрын
Yeah it really isn’t good for young children. A carton of orange juice or apple juice would be much better, but again I’m not sure if that’s more expensive than soda in the Philippines. Sure juices are also loaded with sugar but at least they have some vitamins, like vitamin C as an example. In regards to the rice though, that’s all they can afford. They can’t access healthy, nutritious foods which is why so many children in the Philippines are malnourished. Sad but it’s the tough reality.

If these families took one bag of the rice, packaged it up into individual packages and sold them, they could make money and eventually start their own mini store. It could work if they did it right.
@danapertile1063 ай бұрын
Yes, it could but they have no education and no previous experience from a store. So they have no business thinking. As Mark mentioned in his previous videos, when they gave a sari sari store to a family, 99% of them failed. The owners just ate the food and did not know how to buy supplies when they ran out of the first batch. You need to realize that these people are totally uneducated. You could see it in this video too - the lady said she didn't know she could get pregnant! These people have never seen anyone having a proper job, they have never gotten further than to the 2nd or 3rd year of elementary school, they can barely read and write. Most of them don't have a TV, so education / information how things work are hard to obtain. They can't ask their parents or neighbors, because they don't know how business works either. Also, for generations, they have been getting really poor nutrition, so their brains can't develop and work properly. I guess their natural intelligence must be lower than normal, too. So this combination of factors make the situation really hard. They need help as they don't have the capacity and means to get out of poverty themselves. Only with proper nutrition, education and healtcare can they escape.

They would be accused of being part of some anti government dangerous group and either killed or imprisonment. The Philippines isn't like Ireland or the USA or the UK where you have a right to protest and free speech etc. the Philippines has a constitution with those rights enshrined in it but the current government don't respect the laws of the land or seem to have any morals and anyone who tries to stand up to the corruption... Dangerous! Even journalists have been killed in the Philippines for being "anti government".

Yes, what they want to be when they grow up is kind of giving them this hope that they think they will hopefully eventually be able to see and achieve, but knowing they will never be able to get there unless the miracle happens because of how horrible this country and leadership dictatorship is I think just the kids failure and hope maybe ask them what are their dreams or plans for the future because you can’t grow up to be something if they’re not even going to school at this age they need to know and learn that they have to go to school in order to be something so maybetalking about the process and to get to the point in life to where you can be something but they’re not even going to school is impossible

Why don’t the mothers breastfeed? Is it not taught?
@itsalwaysteatime38035 ай бұрын
Well alot of the mothers don't get proper nutrition so their supply might not be enough. Plus the Philippines was one of the countries where baby milk formula companies advertised that baby formula is better for babies than breast milk. I think alot of women still do breastfeed but obviously not everyone can breastfeed especially if your not getting any nutrients and not enough calories. And 99% of the people covered in these videos has no education.

Maybe she was disappointed and sad when Cesar asked if she is going to have more children. She and her husband work though and she thinks that they have right to do so. And they do in my opinion too. It is the shitty system's fault, not theirs. They are decent citizens.
@itsalwaysteatime38035 ай бұрын
Maybe she feels sad because she wasn't able to give her children all those things . Maybe she's worried her neighbours or other people will ask her to share it with them and that's fine if it's only a small number of people but if half the village asks her to share ,she won't be left with much . Mark has mentioned this before and Caesar ..that after the team left lots of people showed up and ask the person for some of the rice and food and money . Which I can understand being in the same desperate situation but that would be alot of pressure especially if lots of people where asking .
