As for the whole godzilla fans thing, I work full time as a teacher in Japan and I have in fact met a student who was obsessed with godzilla. Every class he'd bring him up and show off his latest godzilla drawings. Little boys here are godzillaheads and they just want to talk about how cool he is when he kills other kaiju, especially since the latest movie.

That "LAX" crash was actually SFO and I was able to see it from my house when it happened. Terrifying shit. I also have a friend who's last name is, ironically, "Low", and he joked about naming his son "Wi Tu Low" for a long time. The prank names given on the news were "Sum Ting Wong, Wi Tu Lo, Ho Lee Fuk, and Bing Dang Ow". This part of the Bay Area is extremely East Asian dense so the fact that nobody caught the prank astonishes me to this day.

About papa john, him talking about the day of reckoning is actually pretty legit. He is referring to the fact that the people in the company he's talking about, set him up in a zoom call and coaxed him into saying racial slurs, pretending it was some kind of HR exercise or something, then took it out of context and framed him, he got thrown out of the company for it I think, everyone thought he was crazy and racist but it was proven he was telling the truth they really set him up
