Great day for a hike. Awesome colors and lake views. Nice reflections on the lake and reflecting back in time on the lake! Too bad about the NRA closure. At least you have Molly's knob to check out. Beautiful views up there. Awesome trip. Have a great day.

Yes,the weather here has been really warm for this time of year. Hungry Mother is a sweet little park with about 12 miles of trails. Yeah it sucks about the NRA but just last week a small portion has reopened but I'd say 90% of it is still closed off to the public. Thanks Steve, have an awesome weekend my friend!

Beautiful Fall colors! Very pretty park. This looked like another peaceful hike. That lake at the beginning was so serene. Heard those geese! They'll be showing up here soon, too. The kayaking and paddle boats would be fun to do. Mollys Knob sure looked like it would be a steep climb! Interesting shed. Wonderful State Park! Have a great week, Jim!

This is such a cool trail - one of our favorites in Hungry Mother!! Awesome that you got some of the fall colors! We did it in November a few years back and it was SOOOOOOO cold! But still a fantastic hike! Thanks for takign us along Jim!

A beautiful fall day on the trail. The colors looked really lovely around the lake area. That is quite a huge fine if you go into that Mount Rogers area. I hope it opens sooner than they say.

The colors were nice in that area. They did just reopen a small portion of the NRA yesterday. Thanks for watching!

I really like Hungry Mother. You had beautiful fall foliage! I love that you and your wife paddled end to end 126 years ago. 😂🤣 Molly's Knob is stunning! You got kinda close to the honkers. I swear Canadian Geese sound like Aaron Neville. 😆 I was huffing and puffing my way up that climb, too! What caused them to close Mount Rogers NRA? That geocache goes about 50ish feet down from Molly's Knob, just off the trail. We found it in May this year. That Dynamite shed is cool. Great video! 😃💚👊

The colors just started coming in a few days ago. 126 years went by fast, lol! Those geese did have a twangy sound, lol. It is a steep climb that little bit for sure. They closed the Mt. Rogers NRA because of all of the damage from the hurricane. I was going to video a little of the Geocache but there was a large group of kids on a field trip right behind us so we didn't stay too long on top.Yeah the dynamite shed now comes in handy during a big downpour. Thanks as always Ice Bear!

Those geese were making themselves heard😁 Seems like a steep fine and with the possibility of prison. Must have people that ignore the keep out signs. Hopefully, they can open it before another year! That's an easy geocache to find😀 That was a great hike! Some really beautiful views along the way😊

Those geese were loud for sure. They just reopened a section of the NRA yesterday so hopefully it wont be too much longer before they open the rest. Thanks Age!

Hi Jim - beautiful fall day! I wouldn’t have guessed it was that warm, it’s really cooled off here. Pretty colors and reflections on the lake. 🧡💛 Too bad about Mount Rogers NRA, it must have been hit super hard by the storm. I hope they get it opened up sooner than Oct 2025!! 👌👍👍 Jen

I think I'm hearing some noisy Canadians out there! lol I'm not really sure I'd want to relive some of my younger years...If I could pick and choose...maybe. Now there's some great fall vista views to write home about...awesome!! Take care and have a great weekend!

I have passed this park so many times. Thanks for sharing, I shall visit it sometime. It's a beautiful park. So people kayak solo too. 126 years of marriage 😂 Wow, you look good to be a great-grandfather! I thought that noise was lots of kids playin😂😂 So Molly's knob isn't a 360° view? The dynamite she'd looked like a big outhouse 😂 Thanks for sharing

Loop trails are definitely the best. I like seeing different scenery during the whole hike. Put the trail along a body of water and it’s even better. I’m not familiar with these two shoutouts. Really nice fall colors on the trail. Whats with this abnormal warm weather? It looked like a great day for a hike.👍20
