The Lord is always good and keep to His promises. He will never let His children down . He will surely provide for them whoever faithfully tithes and gives offering. I had experienced God's goodness and His abundant provisions in my life during my childhood in the most difficult time when we have nothing to eat. My mom placed her faith in God though she knew that we won't make it through if she tithes that Sunday. Anyway, she did it. The Lord was so amazing. He allowed the entire city flood so that my mom able to get her income by cleaning up people's houses that week. I forgot to mention that my mom was working as a housekeeper at that time. She didn't has much customers back then . But after the flood, her customers was more than she can handle. Since then, she never skip tithing and giving her offering. Glory to the most high God Jesus!!!

According to the Bible, members of the congregation are forbidden to tithe to the House of God. (Num. 18:21-22; Neh. 10:29,37-38) Of course, pastors won't tell you that. According to the Bible, members of the congregation are to give tithes only to bloodline descendants of Jacob's son Levi, to widows, to orphans, and to foreigners living in Canaan. (Deut. 26:12-17; Neh. 10:29,37-38) Of course, pastors won't tell you that. According to the Bible, an Aaronic Priest must be present when members of the congregation give their tithes. (Neh. 10:29,37-38) Of course, pastors won't tell you that. According to the Bible, tithes are only to be agricultural crops, flocks, and herds. (Lev. 27:30-33) Of course, pastors won't tell you that. According to the Bible, you are not to begin tithing until you are living in Canaan as a citizen of Canaan and have found rest from all your enemies. (Deut. 12:10-11) Of course, pastors won't tell you that. Why don't pastors tell you these details? Oh, that's right...because if they did, they could no longer be extortioners and liars.

In the new testament 2 Corinthians 9:7 says…“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. “ The word “purposeth” is Strong’s G4255. It means “to choose for oneself”, which means the giver decides how much they wish to give, not the pastor.
@josephroca84976 жыл бұрын
that is your opinion you are right with that. but the question, are you right with God? Why you use " under grace " thing of God to justify your withholding what God's. It is not our responsibility to account the Tithes we bring because technically and spiritually it is not ours in the first place. God did not ask us to give our tithes, but He commanded us to BRING all the tithes. If I command you to bring something, who is the owner of that thing that you ought to bring? Obviously, me who commanded you and you have no ground whatsoever to withhold that thing to bring on. Brethren, it is time to submit to God's authority and surrender to His Lordship

I am wondering if someone can give me sound advice...after hearing this pastor's preaching, I feel so worried as I don't want to do anything that may offend God! You see...I give my 10% tithes to two different places 60% to a pastor who is running an orphanage and this pastor heavily relies on my monthly (partial) tithes which I give to his orphanage centre...and 40% to a christian lady who is sick and is unable to work! She receives /sends prophetic messages and shares /forward to others and so in this way she serves our God! I feel very sorry for her...as she is not able to work and is living all alone and relies on people's offerings for her livelihood! When I go to my church I just pay offerings to ny church...as my church is very big and they are a rich church! So in this case...am I still sinning? Please...help, I really need some advice from true christians...thank you so much! God bless you!

You said "You see...I give my 10% tithes to two different places 60% to a pastor who is running an orphanage and this pastor heavily relies on my monthly (partial) tithes which I give to his orphanage centre...and 40% to a christian lady who is sick and is unable to work!" To me, these sound like very noble causes. In Acts chapter 10 God commended Cornelius the centurion because of his ALMS giving, not tithing.

Malachi chapter 3 is NOT a commandment for New Testament saints to pay tithes - Many modern-day preachers have browbeat their congregations with Malachi 3:8-10 telling them they are cursed for robbing God by not paying tithes and offerings. This is a false and erroneous teaching that’s designed to generate revenue. The book of Malachi is NOT addressing the New Testament church. Malachi chapter one opens up by addressing the nation of Israel. (Malachi 1:1) “The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.” From the beginning of this book we see that God is speaking exclusively to the nation of Israel. A few short verses later God begins addressing the priests. (Malachi 1:6) “A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O PRIESTS…” Actually, God is not even addressing the entire nation of Israel at this point. For the remainder of chapter 1 and throughout chapters 2 and 3, God is talking exclusively to Old Testament priests. The priests were charged with the responsibility of doing the physical sacrifices at the altar. God required the sacrificial animals to be “without spot.” The priests in the book of Malachi were offering sub-standard animals. (Malachi 1:8) “And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil?....” God called the priests deceivers because they had perfect animals but wouldn’t sacrifice them. (Malachi 1:14) “But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing…” God is talking to Old Testament priests when he says “Ye have robbed me” and “bring ye all the tithes to the storehouse that there may be meat in mine house.” By the way the word “meat” doesn’t mean money - it means food. In the Old Testament God didn’t require tithes to be paid with money. The apostles of the New Testament NEVER TAUGHT that God required saints to pay tithes at all. Don't take my or anyone's word on this. You can search the scriptures for yourself to see if they are true or not.

Lloyd Tucker. Dear brother, thank you so much for your advice! Yes I believe you are right! In the New Testament, it's stated (2Corinth 9:7)...that God loves a cheerful giver! It does not state as 10% but we are to give God from our heart...is what I gather! I will read the scriptures you pointed out as well! I never noticed it before that it was the priests God was actually speaking to...wow that's an eye opener for me! In truth...when I planned to stop giving my tithes to the orphanage (as I told the pastor that I wanted to pay it instead to my church; he understandably accepted it but with so much sadness!) After that my heart became so heavy with much grieve...like I'm making a big mistake...I felt sad in my spirit...and was actually worried for them; so I prayed to God and decided to continue giving my partial tithes in support of his ministry instead! After letting the pastor know he was so happy and so was I! All the heaviness in my spirit left me...Praise the Lord...I felt God answering that way too! So now when I heard this preaching, it really made me become so worried as I want to do what is right in God's eyes! I MOST SINCERELY appreciate your sound advice brother....God bless you, thank you so much again...I feel at peace once again now in my heart..."Thank you Lord Jesus for using Lloyd to guide me in this matter; may you bless him God...Amen!"

Scripture teaches us to be generous as our Savior. When it comes to the details of it, we have to rely on the Holy Spirit who is our guide to guide us how and where. Be blessed. Pastor Vlad shared how we give at HungryGen. This might be different how you give in your local congregation. Book of Acts says that believers sold EVERYTHING and brought to the Church, not just 10 percent so that none of the people lacked. The Holy Spirit might start in leading you different than selling everything and giving it away. Be blessed.

At 24:50 the pastor says “I want you to see a verse in the bible, and let me settle a lot of questions an doubts that you might have by presenting to you what the scripture says in the new testament about tithing” Then he references Matthew 23:23. Matthew 23:23 is not the new testament. The people the Lord is talking to in Matthew 23:23 are Jews that are under the Law, not new testament saints. The Lord was not yet crucified and resurrected at this point. Yes, He mentioned tithing in this verse, but He also mentions this tithe as being a matter of the Law. God’s required his Holy tithes to be food grown out of the ground in Israel, not money. This is why the Pharisees were tithing food grown out of the ground in Israel. (Matthew 23:23 KJV) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

I have a question. The Bible says bring it to my store house for food. I assume it means literal food as the Levites didn't have lands for farming and stuff and so depended on the other tribes of Israel for food. If you see a missionary, can it be given to them? They are doing one of the hardest part of God's work. 2. Deuteronomy 26:12 Explains that in the year of the tithe, we should set aside 10percent and give it to the; Levites, alien, fatherless and the widow so that they can have something to eat as well. Again, food. The point is for them not to starve. Plus it clearly states it not only the church/ synagogue to give but the actual Levites and other underprivileged persons. Dueteronmy actually agrees with you that the tithe is sacred to God, but it never said it's strictly for the church. So how do you explain that away? I asked a pastor who said we are to give it to the church to give the widows but that's not what the Bible said. It said give to all of them not give to the temple to give to the rest. So I was not satisfied with that answer. Thanks in anticipation of your answer.

Some good general money management advice early on, but there's no such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages. The book of Malachi was directed at the Levitical Priesthood, not all of Israel, and not to us today. The tithe(s) weren't received as money under Mosaic Law. "that there may be food in my house" is a literal reference. Only produce and livestock from within the Holy land were received as a tithe. We are free to give, not bound to pay.
@lloydtucker56477 жыл бұрын
WE AREN’T UNDER THE LAW BUT STILL REQUIRED TO TITHE? The Lord said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law…” - so does that mean New Testament saints are required to tithe because the Old Testament saints did? Nope. God’s holy tithe was part of the law that was given EXCLUSIVELY to Israel and no one else. (Deuteronomy 4:44, 4:1, 14:2, Amos 3:1 and Psalms 147:19). Neither the Gentiles nor the Church were ever required to pay tithes. Two things the Lord accomplished at the cross were (1) making both Jews and Gentiles one in Christ and (2) “Abolishing” the mosaic law that established the separation between Jew and Gentile. Paul who was a Jewish convert wrote in Ephesians 2:14 - 15 “For he (The Lord Jesus) is our peace, who hath made both (Jew and Gentile) one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, even the LAW OF COMMANDMENTS contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace. Tithing was among the ordinances contained in the Law (Numbers 18:26, Leviticus 27:30-34 and Malachi 3:8-12). In Acts chapter 15 Jews from Judaea tried to teach the Law to Gentile believers in Antioch. Since tithing was part of the law, they had every intention on teaching them to tithe. To address this issue the apostles wrote to the Antioch church in verse 24 saying: “Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:” Verses 29 lists what that letter required for the New Testament church. (Act 15:28) For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; (Act 15:29) That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well. If tithing were a requirement for New Testament saints, it would be in this list of requirements, but it’s not mentioned. THE REAL PURPOSE OF THE MODERN DAY MONETARY TITHE DOCTRINE: Most churches today are really business, but they are called churches. As businesses, they must constantly raise money to keep the doors open. They are usually registered with their state as religious nonprofits or something along those lines. Each church has a “registered agent” to represent that business. There is nothing unethical about this, but the churches in the pages of the New Testament were not business so they operated differently in that they didn't teach a monetary tithe requirement. It becomes unethical when churches twist bible verses out of context to manipulate and scare people out of their money.

Tithes were for the Levites. (Numbers 18:24, 26). Tithes are not for Pastors, Evangelists, Prophets, or even Apostles. The reason the LORD GOD gave was because of all the tribes of Israel, only the tribe of Levi was not given an inheritance. Tithes were their inheritance (Numbers 18:24). Tithing was never commanded nor taught to gentile Christians. During the Jerusalem council (Acts 15) when the early church with the guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT decided what was to be taught to the gentile Christians, tithes was not commanded or even taught. In fact tithes was not even mentioned (Acts 15:22-29, Acts 21:25).

Tithe is not New Testament and not a requirement for salvation. God loves a cheerful giver. The tithe was a law for the Jews. Stop tricking people.

It seems like a Biblical lie to me to give money for tithes, how can you honor God by tithing money ? In the Bible God commanded that only edible things be given for his tithe commandment, further in the Bible God commanded that if people had to much to carry to bring for the giving then they were to sell their edible things for money, and then when they got to the place to give then God commanded them to take the money and buy edible things to bring and give those edible things only for the tithe, thus God actually upholds his commandment for giving only edible things for the tithe by God commanding not to give money for the tithe ! To give money for the tithe is in fact it seems to me to be dishonoring and disobeying God ! It also seems to be denying the sacrifice that Jesus did and his fulfilling of the law, see Hebrews, Chapter 7. We give money as donations according to the Bible as FREE WILL OFFERINGS as what we are able to give and what we give with a loving heart to give (not begrudgingly). We no longer give edible tithes as the law was done away with. It sure seems to me like some people do not preach the total Bible.
