Another tip: With hunters that have the 50 25 25 50 health chunk pattern only bring weak vitality shots. since weak vit shots heal 75 now you can heal fully with one using that pattern. Saves money.

Depends. If you're getting pushed by another team and got hit by a sparks, then you may not have enough time to use two vit shots or a vit shot and a medkit charge. Same goes for if you're an aggressive player in close quarters against shotguns and bleeding. Weak shots could put you at a disadvantage.

Learning what hunters sound like on death versus on hit is important as well, you might not see them go down after you take a shot but you can typical hear them.

Tip #16. Install on an SSD. The game can start without you if it's taking too long, and you can be spawn killed before you're even in the game. Ask me how I know....

Another tip: as a beginner try to get a hunter with weapons like the Romero 77 hand cannon or the Caldwell rival 78, you can take these hunters then give them weapons like a Caldwell conversion so you can have beginner level versatility, but, as you level up you can get weapons like the Winchester marksman and a Le mat M.II for some better versatility.

Every gun can one shot in the head, especially pistols. Shotgun has spread, so unless you are right up close to someone, half of those bullets are gonna miss, depending on the gun. Any pistol can one shot in the head. Practice headshots and you will be fine

the easiest way to know the noise an enemy hunter makes on death is there will be an initial grunt or scream that doesnt matter, u have to listen for a secondary more quiet grunt that immediately follows that 2nd grunt equals a dead hunter

What? No, the scream means death regardless. Hunters will grunt "quietly" when taking damage but will ALWAYS scream loudly when dying, even to headshots.

Fun fact .. I did a little experiment - playing maps 1 v 3 opt-in and about 75% of the games I have ended up spawned between two teams of 3; in addtion to that when I did not ende spawned between teams of 2 or 3 I did ended on the very far away boss location in more than about 60% of the games. ;) that is my add to the "well spread" random spawn. ;) /For addition to that.. to test this I have only played 70 games, so the data of mine can be not that accurate but still you can make some kind of picture for the spawning and that you can really expect there is somebody around...always./ ;)

Okay so I’m trying to unlock barbed wire bombs but in order to unlock them I need flash bombs and I’m having a hell of a time getting the progress up for flash bombs, only way to get it up is trip barbed mine bombs but I can’t seem to get it to raise up, what makes the progress raise ? Enemies and ally’s don’t nor does placing only enemy players ?

It is much faster to jog when out of breath and let your stamina regenerate than constantly sprinting. Sprint until out of breath, then jog for about 5 seconds after the lung symbol has disappeared.

I have received a couple of special weapons like for example "The Benefactor",my question is: Is the benefactor just a skin or is it a separeted weapon,and if i die do i lose it? it is a skin for chain pistol given to you for participation in EA. It is unlocked for you permamently. Hovewer, if you didnt unlock chain pistol through bloodline and book of weapons you are not able to buy chain pistol with this skin. if you die with this benefactor, you will lose it as usual weapon. but when you will unlock chain pistols for use you will be able to buy chain pistols with this skin and play with it infinite times

My biggest problem is knowing when to be sneaky and when to stay mobile. Dying to a dynamite bundle or that label marksmen from 70m away are my biggest frustrations. Any ideas ?

Be sneaky when you know where the enemy is and you know they don't already know where you are. Be mobile when you are spotted, or if you don't know the locations of any enemies always assume you are spotted.

Default controls did need some adjustments for me, other than that they seems fine. It's the fucking menus that need work, so much manual button pressing when prepping a hunter along with the slow-down when browsing along icons makes it such a slog. Hoping they make a loadouts system where you can save presets of equipment in the future.

They are weapons with nice skins on them, no functional difference. The first time you buy a legendary skin with bloodbonds you will get a version of that weapon in your inventory, after that you can buy it as a normal gun with hunt dollars, but only if you have unlocked it through normal progression.

It is a number that matchmaking uses to determine your skill rank. So if you kill people your ELO goes up, when you get killed it goes down. The amount it changes when you kill and get killed is determined by how big the variance in skill was between the two players.

250+ hours. Shot another player 1 time back in hour 3. Still don't give a shit about fire fights. Just like killing zombos, being hunted by other people, making 100% ghost runs without ever being detected by another player, trying to find all the cash registers in a map before the 1 hour mark, sneaking around and following other people stealing their bounties from under their noses and running to the extraction with two teams chasing after me. When your hunter dies you lose all of his/her gear. You have to buy it again from the shop and equip a new hunter. Sometimes you will get guns you have not unlocked yet, such as legendary weapons. You will have to meet the bloodline rank requirement and book of weapon unlock requirement in order to buy these weapons normally.

Neither of those are true if we are comparing 1.0 to the previous build. The graphics have been somewhat downgraded over the past year, so that people can actually play at a decent FPS. As for the lag, this is not an issue, and stems from either people's own connections or a new feature allowing you to select a primary and secondary region. If you select a secondary region and it is taking to long to match make you in your primary region, then you will end up on a server with a further away data center with higher ping. Easy fix is just not to select any secondary region.

I encountered no lag so far. But yes, compared to the alpha, the game looks pretty shitty right now even on max settings. Kills the atmosphere in a big way. Weapon handling has been stupified as well. No sway anymore so it plays like any other arcade shooter.

It took me about 40 plus hours to start getting a hold on it ... having a teammate you play with often helps alot take your time but if your to slow u will never get to a boss in time. Walking is a good speed run when u need to. Get to know the difference between normal sounds and sounds that have been created because of another hunter all creatures have a regular sounds they make when not disturbed.

When you die, only hunter level is displayed, not that players actual bloodline rank. You can easily get a hunter to rank 23 in one match, so yes, he is likely a beginner

Tip15. I believe you forgot to mention that speaking to random teammates using VOIP is heard and even chatting is seen by other hostile players. That's why discord players are more preferable.

A note on spawns: the game doesnt try to put a space between you and another team. The spawns are almost completely random. I've had games where literally EVERYONE spawned in one corner of the map and it became a huge slugfest for the first 3 mins of the game. Just saying it's a little misleading to say the game tries to put a space between teams.

They did introduce spawn protection in 1.0, it is still possible to spawn next to people, but far less likely than in previous builds.

Technically 3:56 and 5:10 is not correct/all the ways a Hunter can permanently die. A Hunter is also permanently dead if he/she got killed four times or if they enter the match with missing health chunks even earlier, since you automatically lose one health chunk every time you die. :) Another addition to 10:50, if you're extracting as a team and your partner dies, the extraction will also be blocked. Otherwise great tips, which should help out those fresh whiteshirts :>

And if we want to get really technical, a hunter can die 8 times in a match and still be revived provided they have 4 small bars and get two banishes off somewhere in the middle.

Why would anyone just skirting around the map? You get no money if you don't go for clues and objectives. If you just skirt around the edge of the map, you are just draining your money pool because the odds have it, a beginner will die to pve mobs or get pvped by obnoxious veteran players; and as soon as any of the 2 happens, all your individual hunter exp, cost of the hunter, and his/her equipment go down the drain with nothing to show for it... Bottom line: the so called "skirting around the map farm exp" play style is the quickest and surest way to go bankrupt...

You forgot about cash registers which can yield you an easy 300+ bucks if you combine them with 3 clues or more in total IF# you know where to find them, but pretty much yeah... the game forces you to go after the bounties. Stilll not as useless to very pasive players as you make it sound.

I and my teammates prefer just wslk around the map and wipe other teams, till we are alone on the map. Then we split to farm compounds, pick clues and banish bosses. We get more profit since we are focused on finding enemy teams before they kill each other Morale: it depends on your skill

If you are really low rank, then you may be put in empties if there are no other low ranks playing. If you are playing in the low pop hours of your region them sometimes you'll get empty servers as well

If I'm playing with mates, there is no way I'm going to restrict myself to proxy chat. Gaming is a social thing, so the banter and chatting about our week it just as important as playing the actual game to me.

Yeah, i 'm not sure if i wish that Proxy chat was used more often. On one hand, the devs clearly wanted even simple chatter to be risky, on the other hand it's arguably not fair that you can't play the game you want and talk during it which obviously ruins a lot of fun for many people. If Proxy Chat was more prevalent, it'd open the door for many interesting things to happen, like you and your partner figuring out how to communicate minimally but efficiently enough to coordinate against someone without giving away what you plan on doing. Verbal code with your friends, or just the satisfying thing of you and your friend knowing exactly what to do without saying a single word.....there's a lot of interesting things Proxy Chat could force people to do. But again the social aspect of games is a major part of what makes them fun, so it's not hard to understand why they use things like Discord Chat.

There are a few explanations for this. If you are using random matchmaking or going in with a partner then it will use their level/ELO for matchmaking as it is higher than yours. There is no matchmaking parameters when matching with a partner, it only kicks in when matching against opponents. Level 30 is also different to rank 30. Level refers to an individual hunter's level, and can easily reach 30 after a match or two. Rank, or bloodline rank is tied to your account as a whole. On the death screen it shows both, so it is easy to think you got killed by a high rank enemy when they just had a hunter that had survived a match or two.

"Not going for the objective doesn't help you improve" ...except it does. It gives you XP, which levels up your hunter and allows you to give them more perks that will increase their chances of survival when you do engage in a real gunfight. It's called playing smart. Rushing into every gunfight you hear won't help you improve if you're a low level freebie going up against three level 35s, because you'll be slaughtered instantly. Some people don't like the idea of permanently losing the hunter they sunk money and time into.

For new players all the perks, money, and weapons in the world won't help them. they need experience in gunfights if they want to improve. Farming xp and avoiding fights is the best way to stay bad at pvp.

While you *can* enjoy this game for the non pvp elements, it is designed as a pvp shooter with a heavy environmental component. So for new players navigating the world and fighting AI starts out as exciting, they soon realize that the long haul is all about the gunfights.
