I was using one and came across a trio of people using them everyone for sure had bulwark. Several barrels went off too. My friend was a bit away and saw probably 20 explosions in about 2 seconds when i turned that corner on that team. Safe to say we lost!

Me and my brother just got done with a Hunt Sesh. Last game was a Clash. Everyone. And i mean EVERYONE. All 12 players was equipped with either Cho-explosives or 2 of em. Ammo crates everywhere. It was, glorious.

A question for those who view this weapon as the death knell of Hunt: after watching gameplay of the weapon, I can't help but feel like he would have been just as well off, if not better off, with a Dolch in his hands, right? I agree that it doesn't feel good that this weapon is getting brought into the game, but I'm trying to find a properly quantitative reason for that as opposed to gut feeling. I've been with Hunt for a long time, and remember the clamor with lots of different updates (faster fanning/levering, dual pistols being added, custom ammo types being created). Through each of them the game still felt like Hunt, and I still loved it. Even using the normal crossbow with explosive bolts felt just fine! This is the first time something feels... off. Maybe once the event is done and things have settled it won't feel that way anymore, but I was hoping someone else out there had found a way to put what I'm feeling into words in a way I agree with.

Isnt this like. $100 with thecammo. And a dolche is $750? Even more for the precision since its a 2 slot. The chu ka nu isnt a primary weapon either way. Its an alternative to dual wielding. Its basicly more accurate dual wielding with slow projectiles.

I do miss old hunt. But I've accepted that the future of this game is out of my control and the best I can do is just try enjoy everything while its here.

appreciate the reply man. I’m glad you can still find joy in it after all these hours, even if it is kinda a job in a way for you. I just hope the next wacky weapon they release isn’t a spammy explosive lol it sets a bad precedent, even if they aren’t that “good” it’s a slippery slope.
