Second Edition Key Differences:
1. A new damage system to add more challenge to the dexterity system.
2. A new event and test system that improves the games pace.
3. A new non-dexterity combat system for those who don't enjoy tossing tokens.
4. All stretch goals from the original crowdfunding campaign are included.

"You were on your way back to earth after a year-long mission when a distress beacon abruptly roused you from hypersleep. The message was mostly static, but it was obvious that something terrible was happening at Mining Colony 415.
Once you and your crew landed and started looking around, unidentified lifeforms started wreaking havoc. During the chaos, everyone got split up and you don’t know if anyone is alive or dead. Even Sprinkles, the ship’s cat, is missing.
You just heard over the colony’s announcement system that the self-destruct protocol has been activated, so you’ll have to race back to Landing Pad 7 to get aboard your ship and get out of there before everything explodes… and you’ll have to do it while being hunted by the aliens."

Me too. They’ve been fun to play. Big fan of the small box solo games! They fill a void for solo gamers out there and are easy on the wallet too! 😄👍🏼

I was curious how this was going to keep the dexterity mechanic without the box lid and had kind of hoped it would incorporate the dice option as an alternative to the dexterity. Regardless the new set looks great and I hope to be able to pick it up.

The VHS box works well. The result deck is another option you have if you don't want dexterity. However, after using the dexterity approach, I actually prefer it. It's a fun mini game and a notch more tense than flipping cards for me. I like having options though! 😄 Dice could be an interesting approach too. Maybe something that will be talked about during the campaign as a side option?

@@RollingSolo I saw a fan-made dice option on BGG and thought if I ever get the game I would order a custom dice set just to try it out.

I looked again and now cannot find the post or anything about the dice option other than posts about adopting the Tower dice mechanic. Either way the dexterity mechanic is nostalgic to be similar to the old GW Ultra Marine game that used both the box lid and hit dice.

100% agree
