Love that you made yourself laugh with that franchise joke, you got me good too!

Yes, it was funny one. Before i saw the little words "North pole" below the HUNTED title art, i saw the blonde elfen character in green and i thought for a second before he said the punchline, "errrr Legend of..Zelda?????" Then i felt dumb noticing the "North Pole". That one sounds interesting. Perhaps its not. Lol

Agreed it should be in a smaller box and the mat that comes with it is I think the culprit in making that box bigger. I wish it was tad more modular in terms of kid characters, giving the option to build your team. I do love the mystery clue board and how that connects to the book of encounters which brings some nice narrative elements. I like the system a lot for hunted. The beauty in these games are that they take less than 30 min, are easy to set up and offer good full adventure experience. I can’t think of many other games that do that.

The charm of Hunted series for me is always about small box + just enough variety to deliver a thematic experience. That is why I love 415 so much - a tight card drawing game that captures the time and ammo pressure / push your element / corridor crawl feel that are so important in the Alien movies. I didn't get this one just because of the big box and table space required. I may one day get the print and play version and try to make it smaller though

I've played both and enjoyed both Hunted: Wode Ridge and Mining Colony 415 and they do have some similarities like you mention. I love Gabe's use of popular themes and he manages to capture a lot of theme in the gameplay. Wode Ridge does take a lot of room on the table, and there are some extra elements that I have to "re-learn" to play it, but I think it is VERY worth it. The narrative elements are great, and I love how they change each time - each play is a completely unique story. Great game and great overview video!

Fun series of games. while I own all three, I've yet to open and play Wode Ridge. The art and colors are excellent in this series. Thanks for covering Wode Ridge, Daniel.
