As soon as I realized what song it was, my tears came down..I still have that image of Gon and Killua separating in my head..it hurts so much to know they can no longer be together..I saw ep 148 by force because after their separation I no longer had the mental strength to do anything..I just wanted to cry..how much I wish they existed..or at least they stay together..because I can't imagine a little silver-haired head with her hands in her pockets walks..without another black and green head with a fishing rod that walks..I can't do it..💔

same i miss all of them so much 😭 and it hurts my heart to think about all the good times gon and kil spent together in greed island, and then you see their breakdowns of suffering from tragic losses .. you could hear Gon saying "Saisho wa guu... Jan... Ken..." but he paused first, and after killua screams "GON!", begging gon not to leave him, gon turns to look at him, and you can just see how hurt gon was as he abandoned everything just to avenge kite. Before the final blow to pitou's dead body, the scene silences as gon says "Guu" and its as if Gon gave Killua the look saying "I'm sorry". Because gon knew that he had to give up everything for this moment, and that he would never be the same again, let alone see killua ever again (if nanika hadn't saved him, then he would've died basically). I feel so bad for Gon :( he was Killua's light, but in the times of despair and when Gon needed Killua most (when Pitou showed him that Kite was dead), Killua wasn't there. Gon needed his light, and Killua needed his, but at the same time, they weren't there for each other. and it just shows how much they relied on each other every time - but without Gon, Killua felt hopeless; and without Killua, Gon felt just broken. And he signed the contract giving up his potential, his body, his relationships to everyone, and his humanity. And because Gon started to fall into darkness, Killua felt like it was his fault for Gon's suffering, thinking that he was a bad friend and wasn't good enough, since he couldn't do anything to help Gon cope. So Kite's death changed everything between Gon and Killua, and they separated because Kil now had a new objective and goal: to protect Alluka. It's also because they needed to learn how to grow without the other always being there for them. Ironic how Killua's "light" fell into a pit of darkness as you see Gon's monster come out. Still, the chimera ant arc is such a masterpiece yet tragically depressing. The series was building up there relationship, and in the last episodes of the series, beautifully destroyed it. And not only that is what made it a masterpiece - it also goes more in depth and characters like Meruem and Komugi had a beautiful relationship that ended sadly. The antagonist got a happy ending (spending his last moments with the person he wanted to live with, Komugi), and the protagonist got the saddest ending of all (losing everything just to win a battle with Kite's killer, knowing that this feat wouldn't achieve a single thing. If anything, it just made things worse for himself and his loved ones). Sorry for the long comment, I just love everything in the chimera ant arc so much.

@@monkey5498 thank you! some people don't appreciate all the depth in the Chimera Ant arc, and it's kinda sad honestly; I love the CA arc alone more than any other series, ngl. I kind of think that the ending was good, because I personally don't want to see Gon and Killua reunite. I feel like it was a beautiful ending to the anime, and the sadness/beauty of Gon and Killua's relationship wouldn't be sad anymore if you see them reunite again, in my opinion. I love both of them so much, but I feel like it's best for them to not be reliant on each other, and at least, if they do have to see each other again, I hope it's in a couple years (in their world) where they've both grown and matured, especially Gon. but other than that i do hope the series continues, but that'll probably be in 20 years
