You are truly passionate and driven to get a 17 inch set up. After watching all the videos you've made I've come to the conclusion, the best option is to trust Joshua Crasto and have him set up the bike. It would be money well spent on the interceptor.

It can be any builder, Joshua is good, bulleteer customs, anyone who does it end to end... but still a plug and play option will be the best.. like with the meteor rear wheel...

Yes people have used MOJO alloys as well. One of my subscribers also used those alloys. But it's not plug-and-play. You still need to machine part like axle, abs sensor, and few bushes to keep it in place..

Thanks for the frank opinions and for experimenting with the Hunter's wheel. I agree with you that a plug and play solution would be ideal. Even I prefer something like that rather trying all hacky methods to gets things to work. Can't really trust such methods in case of emergencies. Anyway, something else may come up hopefully. Nitin ji, truly committed effort with single point dedication..... hope the RE design engineers were that dedicated to their work. I have an Interceptor and am so disappointed at the lack of Human Factor understanding at RE for this bike...... having a nice powerful engine is not enough to start selling a bike..... this i believe is the only reto naked bike with 804 mm seat height...... the avg height of people in India is 5ft and 6 in....... there's no way an average rider can have his feet planted on both sides..... more so in city riding where traffic is pathetic with road conditions like lunar surface...... i can point out multiple elements in this bike where the design is not human factor centric.... but RE is deaf. 😔

Yes you are absolutely right.. I think they are working on it. Since the hunter that I reviewed earlier this month, checks put all of those factors... I really like it I just wish it had the 650 cc engine..

I have an idea! What if you use Rc390 2022 front disc on the hunter wheel. There is a chance it will fit. It is 320mm in size, has 5 bolts, also looks same just in a little bit bigger size.

Hello, thank you for making these set of video's... I have been trying for the same plug and play 17" setup for my GT650. I just hope the next set of 650ies being launched by RE can help achieve this as they may come with an alloy set-up. However, i did hear about a company named Dismotech that builds tubeless 17" spoke rims that fit the stock 650ies hub. It does solve ... Having a 17" + having a tubeless set-up. I am just hoping someone make a video with a review for that 😉... Cheers and thank you again.

There are a couple of videos on that... apparently dismotech is not very good with there products... a friend of mine faced a lot of issues with them. At first they took a lot of time, then the pacel got swapped, then the rim had issues and was not even sent with spokes... YOU may check with LRL MOTORS...

So, it's not going to be plug n play. We will need to make parts to fit in place. Since I had already installed a dominar wheel in front. I wasn't convinced to spend more on this mod. Although it can be done. But I would still prefer the dominar wheel to be installed in front...

Good content brother...I am taking a delivery of Hunter Retro. One very important question: Can I change the front wheel to 120mm (from rear to front) and 150mm at the rear (new)? Thank you. Also...how reliable is tubeless conversion on a spoked rim?

Yes you can increase a size up, in both front and back there is enough space... Get apollo alpha, tvs euro grip type tires. Mostly all tubless conversion are reliable ie outex, waytotubless, inverted tube but everytime you will trune the spoke wheels, you will have to do the tubless thing again.. It depends on how much you wanna spend. I would recommend that you get the metro alloys and better tires. It will do the job well...

Yea yeah it can be done... you need to machine few parts for disc and stuf. I had already installed dominar wheel in front hence I didn't go forwards woth that installation...

Hi there brother, now that the super meteor has been revealed with front alloy and 320mm disk at the front with spoke mounted disk and abs toner ring. The mounting points looks to be exactly same as those in hunter 350 wheel

Hey green, you should check out other videos that are been done on this topic. So much of those things are give way in extreme heat and regular usage.. alloys on the other hand seem like a better choice.. I have them installed on the bike and this experiment was for the viewers to see weather its plug and play or not..

Yes but that doesn't solve the puncture issue. Outex and likes require reapplication everytime it needs spoke alignment.

@acoupleofrides Rather than re-engineering the alloys, which may affect the safety of the driver, it's better to adjust with the puncture issue. Well, it's a choice. Some go for looks, and some go for practicality. I also watched your dominer Wheels video. You did a great job by covering so many issues on the wheels upgrade 👏 👍. Hope you keep this not giving up attitude.

I just needed solutions for me.. videos just happened. The bike was so incomplete that it created so many vids... anyways just because it's oem doesn't mean it's always safe. But the mods I have done are more tested than usual... almost 5 bikes that I know are using it.. in a total of about 90k kms. I would have also loved if RE would have given us this option...

Yes you can, 390 alloy is made for a lighter bike. Interceptor is heavy bike hence this preference was being tested...

We have checked for both the tires bhai. Front is 19 and the rear 16. There will be significant changes required to fit these parts. Hold on for some more time. New versions for int and gt are coming...

@@acoupleofrides r u saying changes in tyre size or alloy hubs ,i visited the showroom today checked sm650 and int650 side by side ,the alloy hub and rim hub looks same however i think only way to find out for sure is to either buy that alloy and try to fit or to get the exact size dimentions from spares team and tally anyways do let me know asap u get any info if u checked and if its plug and play ,although i know u r more intrested in 17 inches but for now iam only intrested in rear alloy replacement do try this one if u can. Btw loved ur work with dominar alloyes

Spoke wheels always❤ I love blackout engine and exhaust than chrome as seen in newly launched gt and intercept but wheels should be always spoke.retro bikes looks ugly with alloy wheels Only advantage of it is tubeless tyres. I have seen new classic 350 with alloy wheels it sucks 👎 the bike dint have tht classic look

So, an authentic retro look is with spokes. But we live in a country where roads are filled with sharp objects.... I personally am indifferent about alloys or spokes. For me it's always been function over form/looks. If RE or any other manufacturer start providing tubless spoke wheels. I will opt for it too... Until then, alloys it is for me...

Such customization are not easy tasks and there are parts to be machined for which there are no plug and play fitments available because india is not friendly with automobile customizations... hence you need mechanics like these who have done such fitments for years and can do it better than many..

Not entirely true, I am running a dominar front and if things are machined properly, they work properly... but here the excercise was to find out whether it will fit with minor tweaks.. and that's not the case... can it be fitted0? yes it can be but we will have to machine custom parts...
