I'm an amateur and an enthusiast, I don't make a living from this job.
This is my second animated video, two months after the first video. The video is again more a result of my training than trying to create a valuable animation or story.
I started with 3D work less than two years ago, with animation less than a year ago and I'm still learning. I'm an amateur, enthusiast, storyteller. My goal is to make a Fan-Made movie from the world of Warhammer 40K - Divine Crusader, which is just waiting for my better experience and knowlage.

I would like to thank everyone again for such a positive response. I'm really excited that you like my work. In a few days I will start working on the third (still training) video. In which I now really want to focus on character animation. If everything goes well I could really start with the project - Divine Crusader. It occurred to me that I could make a short video, a kind of vlog that explains my work, my vision, my goals and my motivation. If he did not the machine's spirit would rebel, and the systems would fail to initialize... And really that's if he's lucky. Any adept of the Mechanicus trained on Red Mars will tell you: bad things can come of a enraged machine spirit if not placated. Failure to function is merely the least an operator has to worry about.

@@JacquesLapeyre it's something I really like about 40k. The tech they are using isn't just cool scifi stuff. They are genuine holy relics that are revered and worshipped as such. When cleaning and resembling their Lasgun a Gardsman must offer up a small prayer while they are going about routine maintenance.

@@ieuanhunt552 while the machine spirit needs to be placated, thats because it as actual animal sentience encoded into war machines. Plent of tech like say the Lazgun dont really need the prayer but are required none the less. In the lore a AI from the Golden Age of Humanity confronts marine's and tell them "you're barbaric idiots that pray to old slapped together Tech that doesn't even amount what we used to have. I regret to see what man has become without us and i will no longer serve man again" This religious fervour is akso what stops them from even attempting to reserve engineer tech ehich when you compare the ti the Tau, look like idiots fior hamstringing themselves because obviously the ability to create new and more powerful tech is out there instead of sacrificing millions to find corrupted STC fragments

John Doe yeah well that but also reverse engineering ai tech while not knowing the purpose is dangerous, and since it’s dark age of tech stuff that isn’t an stc and an ai is probably involve in controlling most of them which is why the adepts fear to touch it since they could make one with out even knowing, though funny thing is they do innovate a few times, in the novels the tech priests for some reason really like to make over kill servitors that they forgot to put a fail safe on and end up killing the tech priest, the titan god machines in 40k too which doesn’t have an stc so they have to make it from scratch with their own knowledge of it with varying methods since everyone on the mechanicus like to keep information to them selves, though the interesting thing is the titans seems to have a consciousness of their own that bonds with the princep, so they either put a human brain in there or they accidentally made ai with out realizing, and who can talk about this without mentioning cawl

@@lynnusuk2092 there has to to be an STC of some shape or form for Titans. Weither it be key parts to make certain patterns or even the most bare bones version of whatever classifies something to the be a Titan. If you consider all the lore, how the Cult of Machincus operates, even how the cult use "interpretation" as a grey area to invent and sumbit blueprints to the higher upers. They still have to see if its its worthy to make into a pattern or if its too dangerous and a abomination to Humanity. Have Tech Priests invented new technology? Yes. But it is always A) based on already know technology or STC's and B) nothing really that advanced in the first place. All while Tech Priests that have come forward with new ideas for systems, weapons, really any advanced tech that is deemed unsafe. You are branded a Heretic, and killed. This has happened plenty of times in the lore of 40K. So with a religion that believes that there is no need to invent because all the knowledge out there is out in the Galaxies ( The STC's ), and as such refuses to even attempt reverse engineering their sacred tech. You mean to tell me that these people invented these titans? Like out of thin air and without an STC of some vital importance? Titan patterns have been lost and can no longer be built because "the knowledge is lost" but STC's have been know to get lost in the vast libraries of the Mechanicum.

That was fun. I like the sound choice for lascannon. Nice work and I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Animation feedback- be aware of inertia and the way things accelerate and decelerate, even to the point of limbs moving. I liked your particle simulation around the tank, but in at one point around 2:22 the particle area is very sharply separated from the surrounding space and looks jarringly wrong after the earlier exterior shots of the tank.

Thank you very much for the notes! I'll remember them. I plan to deal with animation most in the upcoming third (training) video. So I will also focus on the acceleration, etc. Thank you for mentioning. At first I fought with the particles, much because Eevee itself in Blender has a problem with them in rendering. I noticed that smoke border too late and I didn't want to go back to it: D - I'm a slacker. Next time I'll be more careful.

@@GabrielChristtiane One other minor note, outside of animation technique itself, is that if you end up using rotary cannons in any future works, it's probably worth understanding that all the shots should come from when each barrel reaches a specific singular point along the rotation, and thus should all be in line. In this animation it looked a lot like they were firing from a random circle around the barrels paths. The design and cannon portrayal of many rotary weapons in 40k demonstrate that this same firing mechanism still applies to the Imperium's weapons.

Considering everything the guy's been through (I mean Santa Claus), to be taken out by a supersoldier when he is delivering gifts seem unlikely. I mean Santa has a precision guided package delivery system that can track and engage thousands of targets a second. He has an orbital delivery system for the big gifts. He has time dilation technology and can move at hypersonic speed. Santa Claus's power level is in a league of its own. In my opinion that super soldier should have gotten a lump of coal for his efforts. It is a nice work thought.

I’ve always loved the idea of a Christmas truce for krieg, but maybe instead of embracing the enemy they embrace their fellow guard regiments (Cadia mordian etc,) and act human, which would scare the shit out of the other regiments in my opinion

It gives an immersion into the character, a thing that you find in Boylan's masterpieces.

Only getting to this on 30th December. What a great vid! Fun for the season, and dedicated to 40K. I loved the I I I under the skull on the pauldron looking like teeth, and also echoed on the paintjob on the outer skin of the tank. I'm sure many people who are more familiar with the setting can tell me what marque the tank was, and much more info about what I asume is a techMarine. Regardless of my slight passing knowledge of this setting I really enjoyed it. I hope that Satna's Valkyries codenamed Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blitzen were all destroyed along with his transport in this purge of the hertical!

I don't know if it's really right :) But I kind of imagined it. In my opinion, it moves a little smoother than a tank with tracks because there will probably be no such vibrations from moving the tracks across the terrain. And at the same time, I don't think he is moving too high, because picking up such a colossus will take a lot of energy ... But these are just assumptions :)
