Hunter x Hunter is easily in my top 3 anime, and my personal favorite from all shonen-genre. It is so different from other animes which is refreshing for once, a prime example of being different is, as you can see, has the same song for all the openings xD

I definitely recommend Hunter x Hunter! It’s actually pretty old, the manga started back in 1998. It’s one of the OG shouen, but it’s still on going even today, and has super long hiatuses to boot, which is pretty a interesting phenomenon. It’s classic, but still relevant now as the story and themes are unfinished. It’s also hailed as one of, if not THE greatest shouen of all times. It’s definitely an interesting series, and I adore a lot of the characters. Gon is actually the child in green, not the guy in brown, who’s actually Ging, btw! Gon is only twelve at the start of the series, he’s baby. And a really interesting character. Deconstruction is often thrown around when talking about this series, which I think is really interesting bc it basically CREATED some of those tropes. The place it holds in our cultural consciousness is really fascinating, because of this, I feel. And it’s just a really good series. I recommended either the 2012 anime, which is the one you were reacting to here, or the manga, to start with!

I think you should watch Bakuman next, it's a story about making Manga, but it has one of the best (most wholesome) romance out of any show I saw, and even if you don't care about Manga you'll find a great slice of life story that inspires hard work.
