The feeling that every arc is the same by the straw hats only going around and saving kingdoms is caused by not understanding the plot correctly. In Alabasta, it was the main plot of saving the kingdom. The point of Law's and Luffy's alliance was to overthrow Kaido. They went to Dressrosa with the goal to stop doflamingo and his smile fruit production (he only claimed that he was the true leader of Dressrosa so dethroning him was just a side accomplishment). And the same in Wano. Kaido only used Wano as his base of operations, using the people there for labor, so it only felt like that the straw hats saved wano by killing Kaido.

@@laquilanda4751 there are good arcs in op like prison escape, marineford, skypia and dressrosa was also pretty good, also the comedy is first 200 chapters was top notch. hxh is great but if we compare length and the fact that hxh is incomplete, then for me one piece is better. If hxh completes the manga with 150 more chapters then hxh definitely will be greatest shonen ever.

I feel like it’s a bit disingenuous to say one piece is representative in arcs when only Arong park, alabasta, skypia, fishman, dressosa, wano. That’s really it. Everything else has rich and interesting background and everything ends up connecting with each other one way or another. I’m not here to convince u one piece is better I just felt like one piece does a great job at connecting arcs together to paint the overall picture

I encourage everyone to think about their own Nen-Ability: But the question is if you can cheat the System (to a reasonable extend :) Wouldnt even want anything more) so i ask your thoughts on this: What about a catalyst-ability whose sole purpose it to be Useless and even HIGHLY Restrictive and then multiple more Abilities that all have the teeny tiny Restriction 'Can only be used while the useless Ability is active'. I can think of countles ways how this will not work but a few where it would actually work: You just gotta have 3+ Ability-Slots but more importantly have Restrictions that 'act on you' as long as its activated or even outright all-the-time. Kurapika, i think, gave me the idea cause i wondered if Emperors Time extreme Cost only helps Emperor Time or them all - and f this is exploitabe! So what i say is throwing Money into a Campfire can be of Benefit for more Abilities than actually have the Activation-Requirement 'Burn Money' IF you pull it off

One Piece is just so grand and you will really appreciate how Oda still manage to create interesting characters and still able to do something about it unlike Bleach. The protagonists and antagonists are all so good. The world building is true though, it kind of became repetitive....with HxH though. Man that's just different. So good and so damn unpredictable.

I think the problem is that the anime just drags the story through the mud. It gets the general idea across but if it was paced appropriately it would be 100x better / tolerable. I feel like the new anime remake will really help people see how in reality/ in the manga, the story doesnt drag or you only interact with certain side characters an appropriate amount of time.

One piece's formulaic strutcure is a lot less noticeable than people make it out to be. It only really appears in 6 arcs, and each time their is a lot of nuance in how it's done

All was good, but story to one piece in my opinion. You missed out a lot of arcs which dont liberate a country or which are not about saving countries and defeating final villains eg-Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island(wapol was not that serious of a problem but drum island focuses more on the past of chopper and stuff), Jaya, Long Ring Long Land, Water 7, Enies Lobby, Sabaody, Amazon Lily, Impell Down, Marineford, Post war arc, Return to sabaody, Zou, Whole Cake Island, and currently egghead. Someone would be crazy to think that all arcs are luffy becoming stronger to defeat final villain and liberate countries.

Guys listen! One piece is an amazing anime but I would be surprised if an anime with 1000+ episode is a bad anime. Now Naruto and Jjk took inspiration from Hunter X Hunter but not many knows about it because of popularity. Hunter X Hunter got only 146 episodes and it's not even close to finish, that alone tells you the insane potential HxH has. Now why people may not like the anime? Because it's more for mature audience. The power system is the best and characters are insanely well written. So good that many doesn't understand how Complex some characters actually are and ends up disliking. I am not saying Op is childish but I think today's audience mostly prefers insane Animations fightings and huge boobies, add these 2 and an anime gets insanely popular. Op got those 2 plus insane characters and everything. If it wasn't for hiatus HxH would have been beside Op or greater

@JellyNightSquid69 That and also Togashi was already a highly respected mangaka where rookies looked up to him in fact there's a letter that Oda wrote to Togashi where he used the honorific "sensei" Oda himself said "Togashi sensei" and on the same letter he said he is grateful since Togashi sensei judged his work for rookie of the year. That in itself is insane Togashi is legendary, HxH without hiatuses would definitely be without a doubt very well known and liked across the globe and would outshine everything else like you said, this actually crazy to think about it.

In the intro I literally call it one of the 2 greatest Shonen of all time, so if putting it in greatest of all time category is shitting on it ig your right. Also the JJK vs One Piece video is just comparing the 2 in 2023, and I was a One Piece exclusive channel the first 6 months of this channels life and literally made over 100 videos on one piece.
