One of my greatest moments was to meet and talk to my hero Chet. I had tears in my eyes and couldn't breath. I will never forget that.. I wish I could have played a few songs with him.

Have seen Stanley live 3 times and had the pleasure to speak with him as well. The last time he was self accompanying guitar and acoustic piano simultaneously and wonderfully. Nobody can do what he does....nobody!

Ghani Amor Chaoui I first heard of Stanley about 8 years ago when my college room mate, a classical guitar major, put some songs on by him. Still that is 10 years after he has been around, I think he deserves more attention/recognition.

The third guitarist is Mr. Paul Yandell. He worked with Jerry Reed and when Jerry stopped performing to do movies etc. he worked with Chet for 25 years. He has videos of his own here. Check them out. A great guitarist and a very nice guy.

This is so much Chet and how he wanted to play with all the younger stars and up and comers... He gave a lot of exposure to so many great young players... Stanley Jordan a virtuoso player like Chet, what a combination....! Beautiful music!

If you watch Chet in any of the videos where he's playing with someone else, he is always really focused on what the other person is doing. I taught myself how to play guitar in the late 50s listening to Chet Atkins and Lonnie Mack. To great ones for sure.

Remember what the first 4 letters are in "analyze"... especially "Over-analyzing"..... this was beautiful on both of their parts. I think all the notes had nice resolution.

Stanley's solo was BOSS. Don't really know why people are saying there were weird notes... those weird notes are meant to create tension and make the solo more interesting

@@ryreinhardt just relistened - Stanley had one "wrong" note at 3:01, which was a leading note up the the tonic, so specifically to add tension. His solo was more interesting than Grandpa Chet's imo

What's all the hubub about? Stanley's notes at 3:02 were purposeful accidentals that fit perfectly. Like seriously, you can't diss Stanley. He frickin plays the guitar like a piano. Chet, as always, was simply magnificent.

Great to encounter these guitar icons on stage together... Chet's wonderful guitar style influenced so many guitarists, me included! I wish this could have been performed and recorded while Hoagy Carmichael, an idol of mine, and an Indiana favorite son, was still alive. I'm sure he would have loved this treatment of his great song by these two virtuoso artists.

Who the heck is dissing Jordan??? WHY??? His solo was beautiful,, he chose the RIGHT notes,, I know,,, because I got the goosebumps from it,,, very few guitarists do that to me! Larry Carlton does it to me almost non-stop! LOL!!!
