@@Rooster_Gaming Dude, they're not wolves anymore, they're Chupacabras now, same with the bears, they're also Chupacabras now as well, and how do I know, because number 1: Their eyes are glowing red and their glowing red eyes are the exact same as the Chupacabra's own glowing red eyes. And number 2: The Chupacabra has bitten both the wolves and the bears and infected them with a Chupacabra Virus and they all became Chupacabras. How else will the Texas Chupacabra came into existence, the Puerto Rican Chupacabra secretly and stealthly snuck aboard a ship and arrived here in America, bit a Coyote, and thus turned it into the Texas Chupacabra.

I always hold these kinds of hunt games up against "Skinwalker Hunt" as my standard, especially for small/solo dev work. I keep going back to play it, despite having 100% the game. Bigfoot is definitely a cut above. Got more going on for graphics and gameplay, including multiplayer and even being able to play as the Bigfoot in asymmetrical pvp. But a game can still be really fun to play even without going all into it like they did with Bigfoot. Chupacabra hunt just feels a little.. underbaked. There's definitely some arcade-like feel to it: you are plopped into a map, you run around and gather things to improve your odds, and deal with the monster. Ambiance works well enough too. It just feels like its missing a little meat on the bones. You've got your sidearm and melee, your big weapon that you switch out for different styles of approach, basic healing, and some minor utility (gather keys to access resources, binoculars). It feels like there's "one more thing" needed. Bigfoot has the varied tools (explosives of different kinds, traps, distraction tools, lures, cameras to be alerted, etc). Skinwalker hunt has lures, detection, traps, and killing off the minor enemies nets you skills to improve your ability to fight. Some map unique stuff. Folklore hunter has similar equipment and an eventual ritual to complete, and different types of creatures to hunt per map, with different styles of engagement, etc. This feels like it is still missing "that one extra thing" that let's you do more than just "run and gun". Edit: I see now that it isn't released quite yet. It is possible they may have more in store for the game still after the feedback they get from these reviews.

Extremely well said. It definitely is missing something. Like you said, skinwalker hunt is a great game to compare against. And it just doesnt quite have the same charm. There needs to be something else. For me, i think healing is something that could be worked on here. It was very hard to find health. Maybe being able to scavenge or places to cook meat from the animals you kill. Or some sort of upgrade from taking out x number of bears or spiders

Good game overall. But you definitely need more equipment drops. Now, having said that, it is a little more realistic (and scarier) in that you wouldn't find lots of supplies. Maybe they just need to up the ammo and healing power. And better guns wouldn't hurt, either.
