By spending a day studying the movement of water in an area and dropping baits about in different locations, a likely spot to produce a big Snapper is identified and then a full day is spent investigating the spots potential. The third day, now experienced in the area and tactically prepared..... the rewards are reaped...

First class fishing and camera work in paradise. Great release of the big ones. Icing on the cake was watching you clean up the beach. So much rubbish and plastics. As I've said before, you are a model for future generations.

Thanks T End. Yeah got to set a good example, its amazing how much accumulates in some spots though... but also amazing how often you find little treasures in doing so...

Great entertainer, catches huge fish with a bit of catch and release and cleans the beach as he goes to look after the environment. People, I think we've just found New Zealander of the year! 🤙

Chur... they actually fought soo differently. The first one I missed the catch of was sluggish. That second one I thought was way bigger based on the previous fight. Was surprised it was only a 72. The second one had a more solid head on it. I'd wager there was a notable weight difference.

Great content again mate its always cool watching someone who knows what they're doing. I was over in NZ a few weeks ago and did well surfcasting in the far north using 5/0 circle hooks on a pulley rig. I lost a lot of bigger fish though because i don't know if i had the drag set right or not. I have a shimano 8000D and just let em run for a few seconds, then engage it into gear and lift slowly but not really strike. Whats your approach when using circle hooks?

Sounds like your doing it right... I don't use bait runners, just go open spool. It could just be bait presentation. Often bigger fish will just grab an end and run away before engulfing. If the hook is presented in the wrong end and you go into gear... you miss. Happens to me a lot with big big baits. Other times the Snapper will just not commit to a bait until its 'their' feeding time which will often be change of light or at night. They pick a bait up but wont 'take' it. that is a good time to switch to live baits or perhaps soft plastics.

@@ziaulhoque1079 Sorry. Out of respect to the locals I don't give away 'location' access, but its the east coast of Auckland north of the city area. Go exploring and discover for yourself, much more fun and rewarding that way.

😅 Some get a bit funny about certain 'spots' revealed on video so I can only encourage others to go explore and discover these places for themselves...... But they all require leg work....lol
